As soon as I got this I knew I was going to come on here and write a review. (NOTE: This review is for the black and white striped cover with the two zippers on either side.) I feel like it's very challenging to weed through all the baby items out there and to know whether something is actually going to be good quality when it's also a good price! I really do rely on other reviews to help make my decisions, so I wanted to make sure to share my thoughts on this one for anyone else who is in the same boat and on the hunt for the perfect baby stuff for the perfect price! Let me assure you, this car seat cover is aaaaaamazing! Believe the positive reviews! This is the best cold weather car seat cover I have found, and I've tried quite a few. The material is thick and so cozy. It fits my car seat (Chicco keyfit 30) like a glove! I was using the two in one convertible car seat cover/nursing covers but felt like they weren't thick enough for the cold weather we're about to get. Also, they stretch out too quickly and come off every time you put the baby in and out. This car seat cover is tight fitting, and has sturdy snaps on the top that fit around the handle for extra hold. The zippers are high quality, and the hole is big enough to get the baby in and out of easily without taking the cover off. I also like that it adds extra shade on the sides of the car seat in the car! It really looks like a cozy cocoon for my baby! When it's zipped up I know he is staying warm but that he can also breathe- you can leave a space open on the top, or cover it for extra sheilding with the handy attached flap that doubles as the bag you can stuff the whole cover in when not in use. The only thing I don't like/need is the attached mesh cover. We will only be using this car seat cover in the cold months because it seems too thick to breath well enough in the summer- so I don't see ever needing a mesh screen for bugs! I can't tell you how many compliments I've gotten on this carseat cover! The fabric is very interesting. It's thick, but very stretchable so it doesn't look like it'll fit over the entire carseat, but it does. Plus, the interfacing is fleece so super gentle. The snaps at the top, beside the handle are very useful in keeping the cover in place. The pocket is super useful for carrying all the things baby might need- pacifier, bottle, hat, your sunglasses. I seriously got so many compliments on this when I had my daughter! People absolutely loved the little fawn design! The fabric was light weight and very breathable, the color/pattern was SO cute, it covered the carseat perfectly, it's perfect for spring, summer and maybe fall? Winter was a little challenging because it's always so cold where we live so it didn't seem to keep her too warm and hold in heat, it's very roomy! I would definitely recommend it! I really enjoy the overall quality of the fabric. The outside AND inside are both soft and breathable. They prevent direct cold air from hitting my baby’s face, keep him covered in stores from people trying to peek in or stick their faces near baby while he’s still so small. It proves shade for him as well when it’s hot during summer. Definitely recommend for first time moms, especially those like myself who go out a lot with their baby. Beautiful pattern, very nice quality thick material completely blocks out the light when it’s zipped up. Zipper is very nice too, they aren’t cheap. Very stretchy and easy to put on and take off but never find it coming off by itself. 100% recommend!
