I found my size 8s to be true-to-size and I am amazed that there was absolutely no "breaking them in" period for me. They fit and felt great immediately. I prefer to wear them with short socks but don't mind slipping them on barefoot for a dog walk. While I feel like there isn't much barrier between my foot and the ground (it's weird, I can like "feel" the ground), after a few weeks I feel they have been successfully preventing the foot arch discomfort I would get when I did a burst of brisk walking for like going into a grocery store. I wish they felt more cushy but I am happy with my purchase. Though I wish they were closer to $20 than $30 because it makes me on the fence about justifying getting multiple pairs at once. ... show more

These shoes are really cute and very comfortable. Just got them today, so far they seem sturdy. The inside is just a regular soft insert, not any type of foam (some other canvas shoes have a bit of a foam insert). If you need a lot of support, just note that these are flat inside, no support. The color in person is more of an off-white or cream color. I was hoping for the crisp white shown in the photos, but they are close enough. I am really glad I took time to read the reviews, and I ordered a size up. I am a True 7.5, so I ordered a size 8. The 8 slips on, but very snug. I anticipate the canvas will losen up a bit with wear. The main page of this shoe shows they run big... thats not the case! Order a half size or whole size up and you should be good. ... show more

    • It's slip on, but not SLIP ON

There's apparently two ways to interpret "slip on." I was thinking "slip on" as in you can just slide right into the shoes without having to fiddle with the shoes. So when I looked at the design of the shoe, I was wondering how it would slip on as easily as they claim (it says easy on/off). But, I thought I'd give it a try. Then, when I got the shoes, I realized what they meant was you "slip on" the shoe by means of the elastic heel. You still have to fiddle with the shoe to get your foot in, but it's "slip on" style. Is it easy to slip on? Nope. I spend a good few seconds trying to get the heel in place. But they're surprisingly comfortable. They do feel thin (you can feel almost everything through the sole of the shoe) so if you're looking for a thicker sole, don't get this. Also, it runs VERY small. I'm usually 5.5 or 6 (very rarely going up to 6.5), but for these shoes, I actually had to get a size 7. It might be because I don't have extremely narrow feet and I like a little room in my toe box. There isn't a whole lot of wriggle room, but there's enough that my toes don't feel like they're going to start screaming after a few steps. Needless to say, I sort of like the shoes, but the "slip on" miscalculation/misrepresentation is being heavily debated as to whether or not I keep the shoes (is it worth the time/effort to get my feet into the shoes or do I really want to spend more hours searching for a similar shoe that's much easier to put on). ... show more

I have had bad feet for years so have always had a hard time finding a comfortable affordable pair of shoes. This is actually my second pair of this brand and I just love them! They have great arch support and fit beautifully. And, best of all, they’re really cute and go through the washer great. I’m sure I’ve washed mine about 10 times already. I’ve purchased every diabetic, wide toe box, barefoot, lightweight shoe out there and these are so far the easiest to put on, easiest to wear, thick enough soles to not feel the rocks but light enough to wear easily all day.
