  • 3 Step InstallationAdjust and align to 1 of the three lock holes. Mark the drill holes on your door. Drive all the 8 self-drilling screws to fix the lock.

I got compliments on my gate latch! Really, when does that happen? It is good looking, easy installs all holes lined up and screws were a good length. Easy open, easy close. Has a very nice opening that I use a brass lock on at night. Just an extra security. Love this gate latch.

Installed on fence gates. They are very strong and cannot be “flipped open” from the outside through the fence crack. Bought a second set. Love the extra security on the gates these have provided.

It's been my experience over many years that visible hardware supplied in a dark finish (black, oil rubbed bronze, etc.) will always be attached with screws of the same color. There are occasional exceptions, like if the screws absolutely have to be stainless, or bronze, or some special metal. But 99% of the time, especially when dealing with locks and latches, screws are color-matched. Well, you're looking at a 1% event. As supplied, these are plain old zinc-plated screws that will rust. I'll replace them soon with screws that have a black oxide finish. It's stupid to think anyone wanting black hardware would want zinc screws. Better to omit the screws.. Latch exactly as advertised. The 'slop' in the latch is extremely low due to the high precision the components were presumably machined by. Material appears to be aluminum and will not rust but the provided screws are steel (FYI). They match the latch perfectly but expect some rust if the paint is scratched. ... show more
