  • Great Ambidextrous Mouse with an Amazing Finish
My favorite mouse I've ever had was the original SteelSeries Sensei with the metallic top. I loved that mouse, and I have wanted one like it ever since. The Sensei Ten is as good or better than that. I love the weight of the mouse, the matte finish, and satisfying buttons. Mouse buttons- The left and right click feel great- probably about middle of the road on travel distance and clickiness compared to most mice I have tried. The middle click I use a lot to open links in other tabs, so that really came through for me. The scroll wheel and middle mouse click feel awesome- very tactile and not annoyingly loud or clicky. The side buttons just feel right too. A lot of mice I have tried had side buttons that felt loose- like they cheaped out on the sides, because they are used less. These feel great. Finish - The matte finish and smooth outside is better than any mouse I've had in regards to cleanliness. There are always annoying grooves and places that get grime in them on most mice. Cheap plastic tends to get fingerprints all over and look worn over time. This looks so much better, it's easy to keep clean, and the matte feels better than just plastic. Weight - I love the weight of this mouse. A lot of mice today are trying to shoot for less and less weight. I like my mouse to have some weight. I get a better sense of how far I have moved it for accuracy, and it feels right in my hand. Shape - If you want an ambidextrous mouse, this is the right mouse for you- perfectly symmetrical. I feel like this is best for fingertip grip, but claw and palm grips work well too. The mouse is long enough, and the hump is in the right place to feel good for almost any size hands, no matter the grip. If I had any complaint, it would be that it has a rubber cable instead of a braided cable. It's not that big of a deal. I haven't had any problems with the rubber cable so far. The lighting isn't flashy, but that's not what this mouse is about. This is a quality tool for gaming or whatever else. It does its job well. ... show more

  • A solid ambidextrous option for lefties...and the rest of you
When it comes to computer peripherals, being left-handed is definitely a disadvantage. The huge variety of gaming mice, keyboards and keypad alternatives on the market is almost entirely eliminated as options because they don't work for our hands. There are some rare mice that come in and out of production with gaming buttons and ergonomics specifically for the left hand, but not enough to offer "choice". That leaves us having to rely on ambidextrous mice. In the last couple of years, I've used the nicer lefty or ambi mice from Razr and Logitech and liked them fine while it lasted, but the main button switches failed way earlier than their price justifies. Enter SteelSeries... Pros: -The Sensei Ten is pretty straight forward compared to the modular part-swapping fanciness of my last Logitech. 2 Side buttons on each side, a mouse wheel that feels decent and offers the basic downward click (no sideways wheel clicking as some do). -The size, shape and weight are fine. I have average hands with longish fingers and I don't notice it, which is probably ideal. -The texture is soft to the touch with just enough grip to provide confidence. -The software to control the mouse settings and RGB lighting is simple enough and works fine. I set up a couple of swappable (using the button on the mouse) profiles and haven't had to open the software again. -The lighting looks cool without being overly bright. -I've been using this for several months--working full time from home (thanks Covid) and gaming often in evenings and weekends. So far all is working well. My biggest hope rests on reliability. Cons: -I only have one and it MIGHT depend on my own grip and hand shape: There is a pair of extra programmable buttons on each side of the mouse. However, the placement of these makes the ones on the left side of the mouse (the "fingers side", not the "thumb side") are positioned such that I accidentally click them while moving the mouse around. This happened enough that I just disabled those two buttons. So I'm really just getting a mouse with 2 programmable buttons rather than 4. Overall, the good ergonomics, attractive lighting and reliable switches (knock on wood, fingers crossed, so far so good...) are enough for me to be happy. I do wish more companies would put more effort into accommodating southpaws with better products. I realize we're a small market, but that market isn't going away and someone who "nails it" would have a devoted following. Meanwhile, this is my favorite mouse. ... show more

  • Good Mouse but not for fingertip users, better than Sensei 310
Good mouse for palm users and I liked it better than the Steelseries Sensei 310. The clicks seem better but they still feel a bit cheap and that they will wear out after 2 years of use. The scroll wheel feels a little weak and like it will slip between notches every 20-30 movements. The feet on the bottom are really nice and glide well, though the mouse is heavier than I would like. I was looking for a replacement for my Razer Abyssus Essential, and this mouse isn't it. It's not good for fingertip users like me and too heavy, besides the other flaws I felt were there. Good mouse, not great though for me at least. ... show more
