I am a huge fan of the steel mill and company book vases. This is my third one from the set and I love them all. Anne of Green Gables is my favorite book and so this vase will always have my heart. It captures the book beautifully. I love that you can see green Gables on the vase. There is a quote from the book. Even the spine looks fantastic. The detail in this is absolutely top-tier quality. the vase itself is good and sturdy. I use it every single day as we use these for all of our kitchen utensils. I ordered this vase as a gift. I was so excited to gift this to my sister as Anne of Green Gables is her favorite book. The first vase I received (picture 1) was completely broken. I asked for a replacement which was delivered the next day. I was so hopeful that the broken vase was a fluke. The replacement I received was cracked on all sides of the vase (also pictured). I will not order a third time. I have given up hope that I will receive a vase intact. Everything else about the vase was so cute. I love the detail of the vase itself, but am so disappointed it was not wrapped with bubble wrap or anything to try and protect the vase. ... show more

This is the perfect vase for book lovers! Especially for lovers of "Anne of Green Gables" or Anne-with-an-E, as L.M. Montgomery styled her. It is SO precious. It's sturdy ceramic and has a book cover on the front (with a house, field, and of course, Anne). The green spine has the book's title and author in a pretty cursive font. Then on the back, there's a quote from the book. The book vase is almost 8" tall and has a generous opening, where you can add fresh flowers and water. Or, you can keep artificial flowers in it. It is so precious and beautiful, and lovers of L.M. Montgomery's books will love having it on their shelves (or bedside tables). I visited Prince Edward Island in May and went to all of the "Anne" areas of the island and was so happy to come across this piece. It's well crafted/designed and the quality is excellent.
