    • Great Case for the DJI Mini 4 Pro Fly More Combo
I recently bought the STARTRC Mini 4 Pro Case for my DJI Mini 4 Pro Fly More Combo, and I'm really impressed with it. Here's what I like most: * **Lots of space:** The case can hold everything I need, including the drone itself, the controller (I have the RC-N2), three batteries, the charging hub, charger, cables, filters, propellers, and even a few extra odds and ends. * **Great protection:** The case is made of high-strength ABS with a shock-proof lining, so I feel confident that my Mini 4 Pro is well-protected from bumps and drops. It's also IP67 waterproof, so I don't have to worry about rain or dust getting in. * **Double layer design:** The double-layer design is really useful. I keep the drone, controller, batteries and charging hub in the upper layer, and there's an extra space on the lower level that's perfect for my landing pad, cables and other bits and bobs. * **Portable:** The case comes with a shoulder strap, so it's easy to carry around. Overall, I'm very happy with the STARTRC Mini 4 Pro Case.     • Sturdy case, does not lay flat when open.
My only gripe with this case is the lid does not lay flat when it is open. It stops a little bit past 90 degrees when opening the lid. This is a matter of personal preference, of course. The foam cutouts are well fitted to the drone, conroller and accessories. It does have holes for the control sticks, but it also fits the controller with a sun shield installed, so you can keep the sticks and the shield in place. I liked the latching clasps as well. The carrying strap easily slides into place with the lid open and is locked in when you close the lid. I feel like this is going to do a way better job of protecting the delicate drone and controller from getting accidentally crushed in transport over the soft case included with the drone. The price is right as well. Even the cheapest cases available are about equivalent in price. And they don't come with custom cut foam. I couldn't really knock off a star for the lid not laying flat because it's not a defect. But I feel like it might close on its own in a strong wind or if it's not sitting on a level surface. That could damage something sitting in the case if the lid hits it just right. Very unlikely, but still, I'd feel better if it laid flat.     • Good value, but cutouts could have made better use of space.
First, it works just like the picture. The removable strap is easy to insert and lock-in, and the foam is precision cut in two layers. You could easily fit seven batteries in this case: 3 in pockets, 3 in charger, 1 in drone. Could it be better? Yes. For some reason, the cutout for the controller is not "deep", so you still have to remove your control sticks each time. They could have cut a deeper pocket and kept the sticks on, perhaps? I put two holes in the bottom foam, and now I can store my controller *upside down* with the sticks still installed. Much nicer! There's a bit of unused space here too. The foam is not going to be compressed much with a 249gr drone, so they could have perhaps cut a few slots for SD Cards, neck strap, etc. Really, the whole depth of the case could be put to more use. Setting the case down vertically is inclined to tip over, because of the design of the edge. On a hard level surface, it stands up, but it seems strange they didn't make it more stable? Not a big deal. Anyway, it's a really nice case.. sturdy, with solid latches and a good seal. For $45? Sweet deal. ... show more
