  • As good as you will ever get for the price
Style: Helmet
Pre ordered because it seemed like this one would be harder to find in the future and it looked really good for the price. This is still mostly true after receiving it. The actual helmet itself is very nice, itd made out of solid material, the interior is nice and the visor is fitted perfectly. This is pretty hard to accomplish on even good fan buckets without spending a lot of time in my experience so good on them for that. The paintjob is pretty good, not perfectly accurate but definitely very good for a mass produced item with the type of high detailed job a Boba helmet requires. But this is definitely the area where it will pale in comparison to a real high quality handmade one. It will be very obvious, the layers just arent really present and the silver metal color doesnt sheen like you would expect. They definitely made an effort to make it FEEL layered though, the helmet feels really nice to touch, but when looking at it you can tell it isnt. The other negative I can point out is that the earpiece for the rangefinder is made of a different kind of plastic as the rest of the helmet. You can feel and see the difference in reality, which is slightly jarring. I imagine this is to accomodate the fact that it is removable so that you can access the battery underneath it. It feels pretty fragile to be honest. Fortunately because it is removable you can probably just upgrade it to a higher quality earpiece rather easily if you wanted. I should mention that the opposite earpiece appears to be made of the same material as the rest of the helmet, it looks and feels great. The last relatively minor inaccuracy is that the brow is missing the "bent" section that the real deal has. Its perfectly straight. With these minor negatives out of the way, I still say this is an amazing piece. Just look at that cost, to get something even close to it you'd be spending 200 minimum and you're gonna be painting it yourself. It may not be accurate enough for the ultra hardcore and keen eyed, but its certainly good enough for everyone else and can easily upgraded to be far more accurate. Good helmet ... show more

  • Amazing detail & quality!
Style: Helmet
I've always been a Boba Fett fan, so seeing this, I knew I had to have it. The detail on the helmet, inside and out, is nothing short of AMAZING. You can feel the scratches in the paint, and it could seriously be a movie prop. The antenna works as advertised, and it always just makes it seem that much more real. Doesn't wiggle around too. The one gripe I have with this helmet is the plastic adjustable headpiece. Once inside the helmet, the back adjuster piece didn't leave enough for my head. It was just slightly too small, so it wouldn't sit right on my head. I think my head might be a little bigger than average so YMMV. I decided to take out the included head piece and add foam padding to the inside with gel super glue. The 1/2" high density foam worked perfectly, and now the helmet sits perfectly on my head. The foam cost less than $10 for a whole yard, and I barely used a tenth of the foam, if that. If you don't plan on wearing it, don't even worry about it, but if you plan on wearing it, be aware that islt might not fit right without some modifications. 10/10 would recommend to any Star Wars fans! ... show more

  • Awesome
Style: Helmet
It's really high quality and fits decently (adjustable) We painted it for a black and red Mandalorian costume for my daughter. That's her in (not yet complete) armor looking hardcore.

  • Looks fantastic but tough to wear with a big head!
Style: Helmet
So if you bought this to hang it or leave on a shelf with other helmets, then this is amazing for that. Looks awesome, doesn't have any lights besides the little targeting thing but it may not turn on. At least mine would be on then not. If you want it so you can wear it, well if you have a big head there may be trouble. I have a big head. 23-24cm around. Like I normally wear a size 8 hat when I grow my hair out some. There's a head band sorta thing to stabilize the helmet and I took it out, which was not too bad to to, and I put it on my head, set the size as the instructions say, and my head doesn't fit. So I took the whole thing out and put it on and it fit just fine. Of course slides on my head but I'm probably just gonna put padding in there so I can actually wear it, so it's fine. The problem is the adjustment thing on the back of the headband. Its what's too big for my big ass head to fit in there. Overall, if you have a regular head it should fit fine. I think it looks great, but I'm a little let down there wasn't a voice changer or anything else in it. ... show more
