    • Comparing Stanley with Sursip: weight vs leak
The media could not be loaded. So, I bought two different types to compare: the Stanley for my hubby and the Sursip for me. The Sursip said it was leakproof but the Stanley did not so I don’t know why Amazon has you rate the Stanley for that. The Stanley is much lighter and taller which makes it easier to fit into my car drink holder . We did test out the temperature and it holds both hot and cold drinks well. However, as a teacher who needs at times to carry her drink in a bag, this is a not go for me. The Sursip was heavier from the start and wide. It fiits in my drink holder but the width of the top makes it bulky and awkward as I drive . However, without the straw, after the liquid caught in the lid drained (just watch for that ) it was leakproof. The Stanley comes across as a nicer look and feel, but I wonder if I had purchased a different colour in the Sursip if it would have a different texture. Honestly …I love Sursip’s value and leakproof but the Stanley has the overall feel, look, and weight - and width I would prefer. ... show more

I LOVE my 14 oz. Stanley! It’s the perfect size for my coffee and I love that it’s smaller and so cute! I also am in love with the color. It comes with a straw that I like to use to protect my teeth. I like the size of the cup so I always have water to drink while at work. I also like that it fits in my cup holder in the car. I don’t always put ice in it, but when I do, it’s stays cold through my work day. I can’t say that it lives up to the hours stated in the description though. It is not leak proof because there is a hole where the straw goes, so if you tilt it, it will leak. See photo. For the person who said it is for left handed people only - this is not true. It depends on where you start to twist the top onto the cup. Start it on the backend with the handle to your right and twist it on and the handle will be set for your right hand. Love the grapefruit color. They are also fairly heavy when filled with ice and water. They are a bit pricey for what they are, but I don’t regret buying it. ... show more

I purchased this Stanley tumbler after seeing a news report of a girl who had a Stanley and her car caught on fire. When they put the fire out, the Stanley still had ice in it. Absolutely The Best Reason To Give It A Try!! I bought this and have literally used it everyday from that point. The ice stays solid longer, drinks are cold forever and it is just the best. I hate to admit it but I was influenced to buy this cup. I hadn’t seen it on social media but a few people I know had it and I was feeling envious of the handle and the fact that they had a 40 oz cup. I decided to get this driftwood color on amazon vs buying the new 2.0 model at Stanley’s website bc I loved the color. The cup is awesome in that it holds so much water so it lasts a few hours. The ice really does stay overnight and it keeps my water cold. I’ve ran the lid and straw through the dishwasher with no issues but I do hand wash the cup. My favorite part is the handle bc it’s easy to tote around. You can adjust the lid either way so it’s great for left handed and right handed people to carry! Do you need this cup? No lol but if you’re contemplating it I say why not?! I like it better than my Yeti 30 oz due to the handle. This fits in my cup holders and I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee. It also fits in the peloton cup holders like good enough that it doesn’t fall out while I’m riding. ... show more
