I was specifically looking in reviews for one that you could use one handed. The other flimsy chrome one I had before, was terrible and you had to always used 2 hands or it would knock over. It really works great! It has suction power at the bottom to help it from moving or sliding around. You are able to tear one paper towel using one hand without extras tearing and it tipping over. I would definitely recommend this item.

The suction cups work so well that if you ever need to move it you may want to try a pry bar under the base. My teenagers just rip it off the counter if they need to move it as you sometimes do, and it actually pulls and bends the screw holding the stem into the base. This causes a catastrophe when you one hand it, trying to multi-task and the whole thing comes crushing down in a heap on the counter. It is sturdy and looks good. Excellent control when tearing a sheet - doesn't spin. It doesn't rock when pulling or tearing the sheets due to the strong suction cups. I would definitely recommend this towel holder.

I'm grateful for the suction cups at the base of the paper towel holder because it stays wherever you choose to place it. It's very sturdy and screws easily together and it comes in a variety of different colors to match your kitchen. The size is perfect even for double rolls which our family uses. We don't knock the grinders over anymore when we need to grab a paper towel which saves us such a hassle of chasing down rolling stuff from the table.
