  • Quality-Deficient: Read all about it
Size: 10.5 Color: Black
I received these shoes in the first week of March 2023. I received a new pair of shoes, not of this brand again thank you very much, I ordered to replace these shoes in the first week of July 2023. I feel like a shoe that costs over $50 should probably last a little longer than just 3 1/2 months. Especially since, before buying a pair of these Stacy Adams shoes, I bought a pair from an over-seas producer (the "brand" name was similar to Tie My Shoe, so I had to give them a try), and they were actually quite comfortable and able to withstand walking around Boston for nearly 6 months. I thought, after the third pair of the Tie My's, maybe I should buy a different pair and see if the new pair will last a little longer. Logic does surely dictate that if I spend more than $29.99, the shoes will last longer, right? I saw the Stacy Adams pair in the Similar Products bar and, knowing that they are a South Shore company, I thought, "Damn, those look sharp, they're made in America, they're more than twice the cost of the Tie My's so they have to be better quality, and I'll be giving business to a local company of a city that graced the world with two famous champions and countless felons". Well folks, remember this - the application of logic where logic has no business hanging around is a fool's game. I am dismayed, and perhaps even flabbergasted, that these shoes couldn't even match the performance of the vastly less expensive Chinese-made shoe. By the first week of June, I noticed a crack had formed in the heel of the right shoe. Upon inspecting the left, I saw a crack developing there as well. Then, I noticed the leather around the heel looked a little...strange? Off? Weirdly colored, in comparison to the rest of leather around it? I thought, OK I'll just keep an eye on the heel and see what's happening with the coloration, as well as the cracks; after all, I was still at work and fearful of the retribution I would surely incur for continuing to inspect my shoes instead of pumping out productivity by the ton - for there are cameras in my workplace and we are forced to toil away under the ever-watchful eye of our strict bosses. Within thirteen days, perhaps even two weeks, the cracks had both pierced their way completely through the heels, and the discoloration was actually the uppers separating from the rest of the shoe. Perplexed, I struggled to come up with the answer to the question now pervasively invading my mind, gnawing at my rapidly-firing synapses like termites on the wood of a 1970's double-wide - How can this be, when the upper is stitched to the lower? It was then that I noticed the glue. Someone had sabotaged the integrity of my shoes! Wait, what's this? Upon bespectacled and magnified scrutiny, I could see the glue was engineered to be the only way to secure the upper and lower to each other...by Stacy Adams, his-or-herself! (I'm not sure which, as Stacy could be a male name like Keach, or a female name like the daughter of the mom who's got it going on). The stitching on the soles of the shoes appear to be no more than decoration, serving no practical purpose that I, nor the professors at Harvard that I enlisted to help me, can decipher - they certainly do not stop the separation and eventual divorce of the uppers and lowers of the shoes, I can bear witness to that! Moreover, the shoes began flippy-flapping, not-so-silently mouthing secrets to others while I walked near them. And for the persons walking behind me missing out on said secrets fear not, as they, too, could get in on the conversation because the heels were also fully separating from the shoe! Much to my horror and chagrin while walking around the office, I was quite literally walking right out of my shoes! I was destined to be the man who would walk five hundred miles, maybe more, in just socks around the office floor. Luckily for me, I was exceptionally gifted in the art of sneaky-sneak, and was able to utilize my well-polished skills to softly walk in the shoes until the replacements could arrive in two excruciatingly long days, thanks and praise to Amazon Prime. I could only recommend these shoes, in good conscience, to someone who would wear them to an interview for a job I was also interviewing for; so that they would look ridiculous walking in with just socks on because the shoes fell apart like soggy cornbread dropped onto concrete from a 19th-storey rooftop. ... show more

  • My favorite shoes!
Size: 11 Color: Tan/Brown
I wear these shoes to work every day, and I am on my third pair. So far they have been lasting about a year before I have to replace them, which is very good for wearing them every day. The first time I replaced them when the sole wore thin, and the second time I replaced them the leather had started to separate from the sole. These are a bit stiff when you first get them but once they are broken in they are very comfortable. ... show more

  • If you know your dress shoe size, it's as expected
Size: 11 Color: Tan/Brown
Ello, Toebox was nothing as expected from other reviews! It was my greatest concern. I was worried id look like a clown! Everything was as expected, perfect for dress shoes. My foot measurement is 11.75in. I tipically wear 12 sneakers/Jordans. Cowboy boots/work boot are 11-11.5 depending on brand, ariats typically run true to size for me! My dress shoes are all 11s, and they seem to almost always fit perfectly! I have a cheap ($35) pair that say 11 but they're more like 14s. They where complete garbage, and still to this day never worn! After that I won't buy dirt cheap shoes. The SA color wasn't as bad as expected, the reviews on the drastic site colors vs what you actually get is spot on! But, it's not super ugly! I guess if, now youre prepared! If it matters that much you can dye them! Toe box was spot on for me! With was great heel felt good and secure. If you get the right size you won't have dumbo feet! The quality of leather I guess is a bit questionable! They are by no means thick super durable leather shoe, but also not paper thin as some reviews I have read. I'm not a fan of the thin glued, fake or real suede inner lining. Would have been nicer with a softer leather trim and thicker suede for the heel and around the ankle. Like it is, it comes off super cheap, half finished, and made short cuts! For as thin and hard as the leather on the shoe was I soaked the lace holes, rim, and stitching in conditioner multiple times then re-buffed! The seem alot more malleable and less chance to crack, crease, or tear. I really can't tell what's fake or real leather on these! It all soaks up the conditioner just like real leather🤷🤷🤷... Another dislike I have is The sole! It's super polished! Zero traction( except on the heel)! I've never in my life had a leather(might be fake(idk)) sole so hard and Polish! I gave a quick walk on the carpet to get a feel and Walk up the stairs and about busted my S@*T!!! Might have to get a wire wheel on that sum bitch, and knock off some of the varnish!! The memory foam heel isn't great and the inner soal is glued in. For that reason these are not gonna be every day shoes! They are way to flat for me to be comfortable for an all day everyday use. I think if you take care of them they should last awhile. On that note it also depends on the person's shoe activities! I have multiple dress pairs as old as 15-20yrs, and Sneakers the same! My daily wears are cowboy and work boots, and it's almost every year they're getting replaced! Those are super thick leather! I'm not disappointed in my buy! I wish I could have waited for a sale instead of full price, but I needed something now, and alil flashy! Two tone wing tips look sexier to me than solid black/brown. I want and will aventually get the blue two tone in this style, but will wait for a sale! Cheers y'all, Hope this helps someone. Zach. ... show more
