    • Kids Love it but it Leaves Much to be Desired
I’m frankly a bit puzzled by this product. I read the reviews prior to my initial purchase (I had to return it, but more on that later), and found them to be informative and a very good profile of this item. I got it over the holidays for my 8-year-old nephew and he loved it (as most of the kids described in the reviews did) but the watch was broken. There are 3 buttons on the watch to set and operate it and one of the buttons was stuck in the down position and wouldn’t move. As to the watch, it is ridiculously over complicated to set and use; hard to believe there isn’t a simpler one available. I returned it and found them out of stock. I re-ordered and got the replacement on January 7th, a few days earlier than expected. The packaging (or lack of it) was hideous. The first one arrived in just the actual box with a label stuck on it ruining the package artwork. The second one arrived the same way but this one had the flap of the box on the outside with just a piece of tape to close it. Very poor presentation. Also, the cost is a bit steep for the quality of the toy. Again, my nephew loved it, and I guess at the end of the day that’s all that matters but this company should take these comments to heart and try to improve on what could be a very successful product for them. ... show more

    • Better watch would make it ideal
Ok my 8 yr old son paid for this with his own money and is happy. However they could build a better watch. This says 6yrs + but there is no way a child can figure out this watch. This is your standard cheapo electro watch w/ 3 bottom to set 10 things. I can figure it out but u hit 1 button and ur all messed up again so parents you'll be spending a lot of time setting this watch and turning off alarms that keep going off! Alsrm prevents my son from wearing it to school which he's really disappointed about. My suggestion is dial it down so kids can set/use the watch themselves. Charge more if you have to but that would make it an ideal spy set! My son is truly excited and trying to use and play with all the gadgets. He's truly disappointed and frustrated when he has to come to me over this watch. 😕 ... show more

Not worth $50. The description gives a suggested age range from 6 to 15 years. This spy kit wouldn't be used by a kid older than maybe 10. The items felt like cheap plastic toys and for the price did not include batteries (it requires quite a few). It was originally intended as a Christmas gift for a 13 year old. We changed our minds after seeing it and let my 6 year old play with it instead, who liked it okay. ... show more

Arrived in its original packaging, which is fine, but the box was totally smashed. Looks like it had been previously bought, played with and returned. Missing piece on watch and no directions for anything. I would send it back but my son was totally into it and just wants to play.

Xmas gift for my elder son (13). He loves the set, especially the motion detector and the wrist watch. Love at first sight. So far everything functions properly. The watch has so many functions (e.g. time zone settings, alarm, motion detector) that one needs to set aside a few minutes to learn programming. Kids loved this set. The motion detector alarm is terribly obnoxious but hey, the kids thought it was cool. Fairly better quality than other "spy" or "detective" kits I have seen.
