It’s much easier to screw the mount into the tree and attach the camera to the mount. The straps always gave me fits trying to hang onto the camera and getting the strap put around the tree. Some of the pictures in the description show that the part that screws in to the tree is also adjustable. Other pictures show a straight, non-adjustable base and this is what I received. This way they stick out several inches. Otherwise very sturdy. Somewhat costlier than other mounts for other camera systems, and this was the only one I found that worked for the Spypoint model camera. ... show more
