Sometimes it takes a couple of tries to get it molded right, but you just put it back in the hot water and start over. Not too difficult to shape if you follow the instructions. I especially like being able to re-shape the entire guard anytime, or re-shape a small portion of it. I may cut a little of the length since I've noticed that I have a slight tendency to gag a little sometimes. It stays in place perfectly, but is also easy to remove and is unnoticeable to me while playing. I wish it came in a flesh colour to make it less noticeable to others. I've worn this at least 50 times already, but have never been hit in the teeth, so I can't tell how effective it is. ... show more

the large was to big for me. make sure to fold up the area around back molars molars, i had to remold my mouth guard because i forgot.

By far the best I have ever had. My whole family does martial arts (striking and grappling) and we all use these. Best commercial option.

    • Very hard once it's set. Cuts gums.
Used for BJJ. Very hard material. Cut up my gums from regular use. Not confident it would protect much in the event of being hit in the face.
