I'm a whisky "connoisseur." Mostly Scotch. I've obviously used the standard glencairn glasses and still do and they're great, but I usually end up going back to these. They seem a little large for whisky, but it doesn't matter because in my experience, these things give a better, clearer nose than glencairns and other glasses I've tried. I think the larger bowl and overall shape just works really well for nosing. I can endorse these glasses to other whisky/spirit snobs. Give em a try. Like others commented, the tulip is a little large at 9 7/8 oz for a whisky. If it was a 4-6 oz size, i think it would it better fit nice malts. That said, because this is a little larget it makes it easier to drink on the rocks with ice. It's nice to have available. The quality is good, glass is thin, and arrived unharmed. These glasses are excellent both for value and feel great in your hand as they are like a mini wine glass that is easy to swirl and look at the dram. I bought 8 glasses. They look nice, but in one of them the base has a problem, so the cup does not rest stable and wobbles. Totaly annoying effect... No way to return them as they were shipped abroad.
