The shipping was fast, but it arrived with 2 dents. I’m disappointed because it is going in my salon and my clients will see these dents. Makes me sad. It would be too difficult to repackage and send back. Otherwise the purple color is exactly as pictured and is good quality.

    • Blown away by the features and quality for the price.
First thing I noticed was the packaging was sure and effective. Everything is packed in the main box when it comes. Next as soon as I opened the box I noted the finish was clear, smooth and consistent. The drawers have roller bearings, I did not expect that from a box in the price range, as well as magnets to hold the front access closed, actual swivel bearings on the wheels which are solid and not cheap add ons. The handles are strong and sure steel not riveted aluminum or pop metal. The attachments have solid backing to screw into on all parts. The top stays (locks) open so it's not falling down on you. All of the drawers are supplied with nice felt liners, and a solid top for the top of the bottom box. Like I said, all of the features of a 4-500 dollar box for less than half the price.     • Very nice, but some assembly required. Not all the listing pictures are accurate.
* Overall Impression: -This is a good value for a very nice, smaller scale, metal storage drawer and cabinet combo that’s stack-able. -You can use it as a single piece storage combo (stacking the drawers on the cart) or as two pieces (drawers and the cart separately.) -However, some assembly is required and not all the listing pictures show it as accurately as they should as I’ll describe below. * Pros-what I liked and what worked well: -Good value for the style, size and quality. -Excellent quality, well made and well finished. It’s a mid weight (not either super light or heavy) cabinet and drawer set, but the quality was even nicer than I hoped it would be. -Dark ebony paint is well done, smooth, evenly applied and well finished. -Made of rust-resistant painted steel. -You can use the drawers stacked on top as shown or separately on their own and not on the cart base. -Cart (with wheels and door) base can be used by itself (without the drawers on top) or with the drawers on top of it. The cart has 1 drawer built in and 1 door. -The top drawer lift off drawer set has 4 drawers in it and a lift up opening storage area on top. -Drawers open and close easily and smoothly. -2 lock bars included. (I didn’t install them as it’s at home, you don’t have to use them if you don’t want to. No locks included, you’ll need your own.) -Lockable top for the lid on the top drawer opening caddy. (no lock included). -Has a side caddy to put on the lower cabinet (I didn’t install this as it didn’t fit in my space well). -The lift off drawers drawers have nice side lifting handles. -Has no unpleasant odor to it or to the drawer liners. -Drawer liners included for each drawer, that are durable, soft and coordinate well with the box. -4 wheels that are sturdy and roll easily and spin 360 degrees in a circle. It’s very easy to roll. -2 of the wheels have brakes (I suggest using those once you have it placed where you want it). -Multiple home, garage and industrial uses. -Instructions included for assembly. -Size of the lower cart: 20.3 inches wide, 11.8 inches deep. -Size of the upper drawer lift off drawers: 19.7 inches wide, 9.25 inches deep. (the top listing measurements are more accurate than those in the lower listing pictures) -Total height from the wheels to the top lid on the drawers when placed on the top of the cart: 40.35 inches. * Cons-what I didn’t like and what didn’t work well: -You do have to remove the side of the lower cabinet base to remove the drawers (stored inside it when you get it) out the side to place them on the top. There’s no other way to get them out. I don’t think they will open and close well inside the cabinet either. You really need to remove them to use them. -Most of the drawer liners fit perfectly, but I did have to take scissors and slightly trim the one in the top compartment. It was easy to do and it fit well after I trimmed it. If you have a liner that doesn’t fit, just trim it carefully with scissors to adjust the fit. -The lower compartment cabinet on the cart has a lot of wasted space. It’s great for larger items, but I’d have greatly preferred the option of a removable shelf or rack or more drawers in the lower cabinet to utilize the space. The drawers shown in it are the top stacking drawers, there are no extra drawers for the lower cabinet. I don’t think the drawers will open and close well if left in the lower cabinet. -Some of the listing pictures show items in it, that are not at all properly to scale. Don’t rely on those to show the size and what it can hold, they make it look larger than it is. Use the measurements not the pictures. Some of the pictures appear to be photo-shopped to put items in it vs showing it holding actual items. Rely on the measurements and not the pictures. -Some of the listing pictures show the top drawer lift off as fitting the entire area of the lower cart when placed on top. In person it was different. They fit the width but only about 90% or so of the front to back area on the cart. There was a light oak toned MDF tray (not shown in the pictures) that fits under the drawers and on top of the cart, that was visible under the drawers. This wasn’t shown in the pictures or listing. -The drawers are single drawers not double side by side drawers. What you see in the pictures that makes it look like that vs a single longer drawer is the locking bar installed (removable, I use it without it). -I don’t see the weight capacity listed anywhere, it holds a lot but do keep this in mind. -The listing pictures show accurate measurements in the top set of pictures. But then show other styles and models with different measurements as well. * Tips & Thoughts: -When you get it, you’re likely to think as I did that it’s smaller, incomplete or not as pictured. It will look different and smaller at first. You have to understand that the top drawer section is there, it’s just inside the lower cabinet as I’ll explain below. -While one person can put it together by themselves, it’s easier to do with a helper. -Some assembly is required, but it should be something most people can do. -Be sure and read the instructions and watch the video in the listing on how to assemble it. -If you want to use the drawers on top as pictured, you will have to open up the hardware (side panel) on the side of the cabinet to pull the drawers out of the side to put on top. It’s not hard to do, and it’s easy to put the side back on (just place it properly) with the included hardware. You must do this to get the lower drawers out to put on top, there’s no other way to do this. -Some of the pictures in the listing don’t quite look the same as the one you get. The ones in the top part of the listing do look accurate. The lower ones, I think are general instructions for several different styles and models. Refer to the listing pictures in the upper part of the listing for more accurate pictures. Some pictures show side hooks, the one I got did not have those at all. -This is not just for workmen and workshops, it works well for those in the beauty industry (especially for hair care), and for cosmetics storage. It holds a lot and looks nice, and you can use it for stylish storage (what we ended up doing) inside your home as well and it looks really nice. -While it’s sturdy, it’s more for lighter shop and home items. My husband has some pricey heavy duty ones meant for really heavy items in an industrial machine shop setting. While he likes this one for smaller items, he noted that in a home or industrial setting, it may not quite be able to handle the heavier items some people may have. He said for home use, in a garage or light shop it would be fine, but he wouldn’t want to fill it with his super heavy wrenches and machine shop items. -One tip when you are putting it together. Be sure and install the door handle on the front cabinet so it’s easy to grasp and pull open and closed. Also, don’t cut the ties to the drawers until they are fully out of the lower cabinet and placed on top. Be sure to place the mat under the upper drawer flat tray (that goes under the drawers) so the drawers don’t slip on the tray. -Be sure and read the listing measurements, details and refer to the pictures to get an idea of the size and what the drawers can hold, to be sure it’s the right size for your use. -Note that it’s fairly heavy at about 50 pounds, so be careful when lifting it to put it together before you get the wheels on it. ... show more
