Everyone who says this product is cheaply made obviously does not know how much real wood dressers cost! For $200, this dresser is AMAZING. It is great quality for the price, my husband and I put it together in about 1.5 hours. The drawers are a bit shallow, but again to be able to get a whole bedroom set (two dressers and two nightstands) of this type for $500 is an amazing deal. Don’t expect something that’s going to win an award. But if you are looking for some sturdy, cute, functional furniture and don’t want to spend thousands of dollars, would 1000% recommend. :) ... show more

I spent hours putting this dresser together today by myself. It’s extremely heavy for a 5’1 95lbs woman. After multiple pieces coming damaged, I had to gorilla glue tape the drawers together. Then the tracks are uneven. Some stick out, some sit correct. I was desperate for a dresser so I’m still going to use it. I was happy until I placed the drawers in and it visibly is off track. Edit: 3 weeks later EVERY drawer fell apart. I’m pissed. Edit: 1 year later. 9/9/22 I JUST FINALLY GOT THE GOD DAMN THING TOGETHER. I have built it 7 TIMES!! I don't even need the instructions anymore. The wood is so cheap it falls apart. The bottoms do not stay in. It's wobbly no matter HOW TIGHT everything is. The drawers don't line up. I hate it. I could have bought a used one, but at 21 in my first apt I wanted to buy everything new. I regret this. I should have listen to the bad review. Listen to this one. Run. Far. And fast. I had to threaten to sue the company because customer service kept sending me the same parts I had. By the time I was finish, I could have built 2 more if I wanted with how many incorrect pieces they sent me. Do. Not. Buy. it. ... show more

The instructions are clear, and my husband and I had no problems with assembly. We did have issues with 3 major pieces arriving smashed and cracked, HOWEVER, I emailed South Shore directly and they responded the next day with their apologies (even though I’m sure they had nothing to do with the damage) and tracking info for the replacement pieces. They are a great company with awesome customer service. So don’t worry if pieces arrive damaged, because they will replace them for free. All I did was email them my product number, info on the exact damaged pieces along with pictures of the damage, my original shipment tracking info, and my address. One email was all it took. I am not going to lie. The box was extremely heavy when I received it. When assembling, everything came in great shape in the box. The labels for the pieces are a little difficult to find (on the edge of the wood marked by faint black letters). The directions were not the best. The nails, screws.. etc. we’re not also labeled the best. I recommend using a screw gun, not a screw driver as mentioned, otherwise you will get carpel tunnel. I assembled it and somehow, the dresser still is not piecing together like it should. My dad will be visiting to help to try to reassemble. It took me 4 hours to assemble🙃 Overall, I highly recommend this dresser, it is amazing for the price. It just is not a walk in the park to assembled like I assumed. ... show more

This is a good option for someone looking to make more storage space available for their clothes or otherwise. It's inexpensive and relatively easy to assemble. The particle board is quite sturdy and was mostly free from chips and defects. Obviously this isn't a five-star quality item, but it gets the job done. Some of the cons to this item are the finish and the flexibility of the unit. One of the main boards (the center one at that) arrived too tall, and was just long enough to make the whole unit wobble from side to side. Once fully assembled I found out that I can actually spin this unit on the center board when balanced correctly. Yes, this unit spins with a little push because the center board is too tall. That's downright awful fit and finish, but it didn't end there. The unit is very flexible and each board tries to detach itself from its siblings when you push, pull, or lift the unit to move it into place. I had to reassemble an entire wall because it completely detached itself from the rest of the unit once we tried to stand it up. That's another thing - this requires two people in order to assemble quickly and with less headaches. Overall 3 stars, but in a good kind of way. It beats the price of the similar options from Ikea and from Walmart's brand, is of decent quality, and has generally more storage volume than the similarly priced competitors. The balancing issues are easy to resolve by sanding down the central piece a bit, and the flexibility isn't a problem when you're not trying to move the unit from its location. OK.. if you are considering purchasing, this will be the BEST bit of info you will read. 1. This product, if built according to the instructions, is PHENOMINAL. Sturdy. Great. 2. What we did not know until we were in the final stages of putting it together... The drawers are DIFFERENT HEIGHTS. So if you put the taller drawer in the smaller slot, it WONT fit. So you will think it wasnt put together correctly. The TALLER drawers go at the bottom. REMEMBER THAT. 3. Kind of goes along with #2... I saw a lot of reviews saying the drawers didnt close well, and that they didnt fit. I guarantee you 100% that its because the taller drawers were not at the bottom. Just keep that in mind. VERY easy fix. 4. The dresser is heavy. Very sturdy. Definitely recommend. It didnt take any longer to put this together than it would any other dresser. The color is gorgeous. And for what you pay for it? DEFINITELY worth it. Now go get your dresser! ... show more
