I was sitting by a lake today and was excited to try the drone out. I charged both batteries and read the instructions step by step. I turned it On and It instantly raised 5 feet and took off full speed over the lake. I couldn’t get it to stop or do anything. Yes. The controller was syncd to the drone. It thought it was a goose I guess and just took off at full speed heading south. I literally got it this morning and I didn’t even get to fly it once. It lasted 10 seconds. What a waste of money. I did everything right, step by step in the instructions. I guess it just wanted to do it’s own thing. No idea where it ended up and I have no doubt I’ll never see it again. Save your money and buy something nicer. What a terrible product and experience for me. ... show more

Select Enter Device. • Practice indoors on low speed in a wide open space at first to get used to flying it • 🟢 BATTERIES: ◦ 🚁 DRONE: ▪ It is important not to overcharge the batteries or charge them before they cool down (per the manufacturer) ▪ Batteries should be removed if drone won’t be used for a long time ▪ Charging: red LED light is ON; done charging/full charge: red LED light is OFF ▪ After searching a short time, I finally found the charging pinhole port located on the top (printed side) of the battery at the BOTTOM-RIGHT CORNER near the edge. Use a wall power adapter (5V, 0.5-2A) or USB port on a computer, laptop, or other power source with the included USB-A charging cable ▪ Remove the charging cord from the battery immediately once done charging and slowly insert the charged battery into the back of the drone printed side up and hold down the tab at the end while inserting until it clicks into place. ◦ 🎮 REMOTE CONTROL: ▪ You must first remove the battery panel's screw with the included mini screwdriver before you can remove the panel by pressing down on the top of the clip. ▪ Insert/remove batteries (3 x AAA) as needed ▪ Replace panel and screw to secure • 🟢 PHONE HOLDER: ◦ There are NO instructions on WHERE AND HOW to insert/use the phone holder. Perhaps they figured it was intuitive and left us to figure it out (which I did but not right away). ◦ You gently insert the phone holder (with its top and bottom holding arms facing you) into the TOP of the remote control until it clicks into place. Then gently raise the top arm to adjust the height needed to insert your smartphone. ◦ There are protective pads on the arms to guard your phone against damage while being held. The top arm is a little wobbly and operates off a spring, so you have to be careful when handling. Ensure a good grip for your phone. • 🟢 PARTS: ◦ 4 “Guards”: Nowhere in the "Quick Start" guide or "User Manual" does it mention WHAT they are for, WHERE they go, or HOW to use them, so I checked out the manufacturer’s website (again, NO help) and did an internet search which DID give useful results showing that the guards attach horizontally into the slots at the ends of the blade arms to protect the blades from hitting anything and ensuring their continued operation. 🤔❌ WHAT ARE THE CONS (tell me the bad stuff too!) • ❌ Probably limited because of the drone’s size, the battery’s size limits its capacity and it’s not that great (8-10 minutes). I would have liked a larger battery with a longer run time • ❌ From what I can surmise, you have to PAIR the drone with the remote control and/or WiFi EACH TIME you turn the drone on • ❌ It has limited video storage without a built-in SD card slot • ❌ The phone holder assembly may require extra care and attention • ❌ The camera captures video only, NO audio 😔 🔍✅ SUMMARY & CONCLUSION: Excited? Beyond. Thrilled and satisfied. Yes. The adventure begins! For me being a first-time drone owner/operator, I was pretty impressed with this drone’s solid, sturdy construction, cool appearance, and all of its user-friendly functions and flight modes. Beginners like me to advanced users can operate this drone easily after getting over the learning curve and practice sessions. I say it’s just like flying a kite but without the string. 😊 It goes quite fast and rather high, so I gotta be careful. Anything remote controlled (in terms of toys) can be somewhat intimidating because I know I won’t be good at it at first and am always thinking that I’m going to crash or destroy it. (Fun fact: I nearly did because I decided to launch it from my desk instead of in an open, unobstructed area. It crashed; it fell. No damage. Now I know what the blade guards do. Sigh.) I did have to turn it off and then back on after the crash, and I guess they engineered that so it wouldn’t keep trying to fly itself off or into the ground. That’s when I read both the Quick Start guide and User Manual before attempting anything further with the drone. They have good instructions and safety tips, and most steps are diagrammed for easy learning and reference. Setting it up in terms of charging the drone batteries and inserting the remote control batteries, as well as pairing the drone with the remote control and the app/my phone was relatively simple and quick. It works well and is very responsive. To me, the flight time (usage time) per battery of 8-10 minutes is horrible and I wish they included a bigger or different battery with more usage time. The camera’s clarity and quality are excellent, and I got some pretty nice aerial pictures and videos from using it. The fun part is the live feed (FPV or first-person-view) you get when using the app so you can see what the drone sees in real time. It flied pretty easily and smoothly, and you get started with just the press of the auto-takeoff/landing button (right dial, top). That’s pretty cool! You’ll get more confident and less nervous the more you use it. Time to go do spy movie stuff… To get started is pretty easy after that. You just pair the drone with the app on your smartphone, calibrate the drone’s gyros, unlock the motors, and take off. Spend too much money on a higher-priced drone that would most likely get damaged or lost? No, thank you. Entertainment. Exploration. Being a pilot. It makes a very nice gift… (for yourself). This little drone is pretty cool, especially for beginners. Drones can be costly and when you have a little one, you don’t want to spend a lot buying. A fancy one until they get the hang of it. This is a great first step to the drone world. Price is reasonable to where you can really play with this thing and not bat an eye if it gets ran over or stuck in a high tree. Set up was simple. You need batteries for the controller (which weren’t included), and you just charge the batteries that come with the drone. It does come with two batteries which I thought was awesome. It also comes with a nice hard/soft case and two sets of bumpers for the blades. Charging took a few hours to get to full power and did last a while. My reasoning for deducting the stars is due to the pieces. They weren’t made the best, they are a really lightweight/cheap plastic and in flight some of the smaller, tiny pieces kept popping off for absolutely no reason. It would just be hovering nicely and I’d see a plastic piece fly off. Other than that my kids had a blast with it and love flying it around the neighborhood. It has great speed and height and you do have the ability to hook it up to your phone and see through the camera where you are flying if you want to go a longer distance.
