I have the Sony A80K OLED 77 inch (Australia) and this is the remote that should have come with the TV (RMF-TX621E). It's far better than the factory remote and all I had to do was put the batteries in - no pairing, every button works including YouTube, Netflix, Disney and Amazon. The backlighting is great, not too bright. It lights automatically when you pick up the remote and turns off after 5 seconds of no use. A must have upgrade. ... show more

I purchased this upgraded remote for my Sony A80J TV. The original plastic remote was annoying me every time I used it. The buttons were spongy and non responsive. The plastic face looked and felt cheap. It was not a high quality product. This new remote is a night and day difference. It has a beautiful brushed metal face and raised Sony lettering on the bottom. The buttons are immediately responsive. They are smaller and more integrated into the remote so the feedback is always correct and quick. The back lighting comes on when you pick up the remote and are using it. Only when you actually need it. This is a very high quality product. Not sure why Sony decided to include a 35 cent remote with a $3500 MSRP TV but I digress. Do yourself a favor and buy this one. I bought an A80K late last year. My wife and I like having two remotes so we can each control the TV. The remote that came with the set we paired via Bluetooth. I read that you can't have two BT remotes paired simultaneously. Someone else who bought this remote commented that it would work in IR mode with the BT remote that came with the TV so I bought it. Also for the backlit feature. The size is a bit large for me but I can confirm that this remote not only works with the Sony A80K but it works as a second remote along with the original remote paired to the TV and that's what I was mostly looking for. What an upgrade. The the Sony TVs in 2022 are coming with a cheap little remote without numbers/fast forward..etc.. This remote has a nice heavy feel too it. An aluminum front face that is sleek and smooth and a nice touch. The Backlit lights on the buttons have been a game changer! Really worth the money. I HAVE a Sony X90K (2022 Model of the 2021 X90J) and this remote literally took NO syncing even. Put in batteries and it worked right away. Definitely very much an upgrade if you have Xfinity cable box too. Works with that like a charm without having to be synced as well. ... show more
