My old Beats headphones were flaking off black specks all over me, so I put 2 of those little thin black fabric drawstring bags that some small ordered items come inside of, over each side of my headphone pads. Great idea, worked good for keeping black flakes from getting all over me. I never even thought I could just replace the pads. So I read all the reviews and decided on these. I am so glad I did because not only are they great to look at, and much more comfortable, they improved the sound quality. Not only can I Not hear my family members around me asking me to do something for them, but they cannot hear my max volume, bass thumpin, brain vibrating music leaking out.. The enjoyable process of removing the old pads were a little bit difficult, but not too bad. My advice is to use the plastic tool that comes with it, or you may dent or scratch the plastic like I did with a small screwdriver. I added some duct tape around my small screwdriver so I didn't put more scratches. When putting the new pads on, I simply looked at them first to see they are not exactly the same. The right one has a different shape for the charging port. But if you do put them on wrong, there is a second set of sticky tape/stickers to correct your mistake. I'm guessing most people don't pay attention to the details.. I'm So very glad I bought them. Its a small price to pay for such a huge upgrade. It's like I have a brand new pair of old beats headphones! As for the cooling gel, it's freezing cold out right now so I haven't used that feature yet. But I do know that I could not wear them when warm temperatures were present in the past. I'm looking forward to trying out the cooling gel. I will update in a few months to give my opinion on that. ✌️😁 ... show more

These are way too cute especially with the black beats. I love them so so much! My ear pads wore out and started peeling and initially was going to get a basic pair but these caught my eye and were so easy to install. The fit is perfect! They stay on while I’m doing my workouts. Good product. Nice for beginners. If you have replaced earpads before, cheaper options are just as good. These are the most expensive replacement pads I bought. They work as expected once installed. You will notice a softer feeling against your ears. These come with a second pair of adhesive rings that are not shown in the instructions. My guess is that they give you a 2nd chance if you mess up the 1st time. Align the rings with the pins as instructed and you should not need them. The included blue tool worked on one side but I needed a butter knife on the 2nd side. I only used knifes before and have never damaged the headphones but I know about the alignment pins and was careful. If you never done this before watching a YouTube video is recommended. The included dropper is for adding water to the foam for cooling but I won't use it for the safety of the headphones. Time will tell how long they last but 6 months is a good estimate when used daily. Included photos were taken after the installation and show the fit. ... show more

My originals started flaking off so thought I'd give these a shot and I am so glad I did. The hardest part of replacing the old ones were prying them off... the rest of it was super easy. These are more comfortable, in my opinion, and instead of the leather/pleather that your ears come in contact with, these are some sort of fabric - so no more flaking off. My Beats ear pads were flaking and gross for a long time. Kept them because I always thought I'd replace them. Just never got around to it. I honestly didn't want to (at the time) pay for the authentic Beats replacements because, at the time they started to flake, that's all there was. I have an older pair of Beats Studio 2s, I don't think they make my colorway anymore. They're a champagne color on the outside and white on the inside. My original ear pads were a white color but decided to go with a different color this time. Recently moved, was going through boxes, and found my old Beats in their case. They charged right up and decided to finally get those replacement ear pads. I was deciding between these and another brand that was a bit cheaper. I ultimately went with these (in Sand) because of the cooling gel. Also, didn't know this until I got it but mine came with a little pipette so you could put water drops on the ear pads to intensify the cooling effect. It works, though maybe it's too cold for me so I likely won't be using it often. Installation was easy and I followed the instructions. I did have to check one random video on YouTube for clarification because there was a plastic piece that to me seemed to need to stay on the headphones. Turns out it didn't: it was a black plastic ring that followed the shape of the ear pad. That comes off. I wish I had taken pictures or video of my installation to better explain. Someone on here with the title of their review "Surprisingly Fantastic" has a good picture of the thing I am talking about. Tips: Use the little triangular separator provided - don't use a knife or flathead screwdriver. It's tempting, but don't. Pay attention to which ear pad you're installing. The one for the side (Right) is very different at the bottom than the left. If you do mess up there are two backup sticky rings. Would I recommend these? Yes. ... show more

The ear pads were easy To remove from the headset and the new ones went on just as easy. The new ones are as soft, if not softer than the originals and very comfortable. Watch a few YouTube videos on how to remove the old ones it will help.
