I really like these grips. Grips are a very personal choice. When I upgraded to flat bars from commuter-style bars, chose a set up grips that it turns out weren’t suited to me. The most challenging aspect of these grips was removed the originally grips from the handle bar. Resolved some of my wrist pain and has made long distance travels more enjoyable. Easy to install and clean. Color complimented my bike very well.

I just got these and only rode with him once so I can't attest to the long-term durability but I will update this review if I need to. I got the hi Vis yellow or chartreuse or whatever you call it. I already had a handlebar and mirror and several people stated that you could not use one with this however using an electric drill and increasingly wider bits I was able to drill through the end. There is a little bit of hard plastic in there but I used a rotary tool with a titanium steel cutter and was able to widen the hole enough to get the bar and mirror end. These were a little harder to slide on than I first thought but I got them on and they were a little bit difficult to tighten sufficiently and I was a little bit worried about stripping the aluminum clamps but they seem to work pretty well. Mine did not seem to come with an Allen wrench but I have Allen wrenches so that wasn't a big deal. They look great and feel pretty comfortable right now and I will see how they hold up. ... show more

The good news is the ergonomics work really well. Not always the case with cheap grips in this shape. They solve some hand and wrist pain for a lot of people including me. Company is responsive and helpful every step of the way too. The bad news is the screw on the clamp scripts before the clamp is even tight enough. I have gone through two pairs of screws, and actually had to cut one off my handlebars because it was scripts so bad I couldn’t get it off. The company informed me 2 nm of torque was recommended and should not script at that perimeter, but the grips would still slip around at that level of torque. I also haven’t seen any other reviews with this issue so maybe it’s me? I do some serious ridding but even if I was just riding around a bike path I wouldn’t want my grips sliding around the handlebar. I am looking into finding titanium replacement bolts that will not rise or script. In the questions for this I saw someone mentioned the bolts were m3 10 mm For the price they are great if you know what to watch out for. ... show more

These grips clearly attempt to be like Ergon GA3 and they do a decent job. Maybe they are not quite at that level, but certainly 85% as good for 2/3 of the price of Ergons. If you want a budget-friendly option, this is the one. They feel soft enough, but not overly soft. Definitely do not get the similar Rock Bros grips if you are comparing them to these Solodrives. ... show more
