The violin, although on the light side, play pretty decently, and is able to perform. I love all the stuff that came with the violin as well. The bow on the other hand isn't as great as I would prefer, I would recommend a better bow for other who would like to learn or play in performances like I have with this violin. The tuning- it is really terrible but with enough patience and pushing the pegs into the wood hole a little more it should strengthen the tuning. I love the way this violin looks as it suits my other violins and instruments really well. ... show more

Pretty decent starter/beginner Violin, it comes with pretty much everything needed but I noticed the Rosin (thought I saw it in the photo though) was missing for the kit so you'll have to get that as well. Watch some videos and read the book and you should be good to get started. It will sound like poo to begin with but remember practice and keep going and it should improve but it isn't an easy thing to learn fast unless you're very talented ... show more

I liked that it looked pretty and it was a decent case. I didn't like that had to restring everything and get new resin. I'm hoping after I get an actual music shop to look at it my daughter can play it. I already am looking at other options to buy. I would NOT recommend.
