This is a well-made diverter for adding another shower head to your current installation. However, the female end that you might assume screws into the shower arm is actually sized to screw into a hand-held shower hose end. It works perfectly for our setup but I had to revise how it had to be installed to make it work correctly. This valve exceeded my expectations. The Solid Brass construction and Brushed Nickel finish are much more durable compared to the 9-year-old Chrome Plated Plastic Valve that it replaced. Turning the valve requires much less physical effort compared to the model that it replaced. In fact, it's effortless. A word of advice; Regardless of which valve you choose, make sure that you carefully study the photographs to determine whether the Handle is on the Right vs Left Side (depending on your preference) of the shower head. We sometimes use the Flexible Hose to rinse household items and don't want to actually step inside the Shower to turn on the flow to the Flexible Hose. Even though this model has the Handle mounted to the Right of the Shower Head, I installed ours with the Handle behind the Shower Head so that the Hose is exiting out to the Left of the Shower Head. I did this to decrease the stress on the hose because, I've had a couple break off where it exits the valve after 4 years of daily use. Ideally the hose should be mounted at the lower position pointing down however, that configuration was not an option with the Adjustable Shower Head Extensions that we installed to increase the height of the Shower Head. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Ok so I just refinished my entire bathroom (all by myself. Yes I'm super proud) the only things that hadn't been updated were the flooring ( waiting on material now) and my shower system. I wanted something luxurious and spa like. So naturally I went rain shower. So I purchased the 12 in rain shower and a separate handheld shower head and I needed a 3 way diverter. I went to all my local hardware stores and I wanted a black diverter to match the rest of the system and the cheapest was $60 so I went with the exact same one only silver and it was 30 bucks. Needless to say I have literally bought 4 diverters from my local stores($32.96,$36.65,$42.99,$47.80) yup lost of money on diverters (all silver) and not a single one had any frigging pressure and none of the flow restrictors could be removed. So for a week I had crappy showers and a husband b!t©h!ng that I should have left it alone, asked him to install or called a plumber. I went on Amazon found all sorts of diverters that were BLACK and not a fortune but they all said pretty much the same thing no pressure. Can't remove the diverter. But this specific one had a couple videos and they all seemed to have great pressure. The only negative thing I can say is when I installed it the second Amazon dropped it at my door it leaked really bad from female inlet. So I took a rubber washer from the other 4 diverters and used that and now she doesn't leak and I have amazing pressure. I'm so glad I finally found one!!!!!!!! ... show more

I bought this a while ago and just installed it. The quality of the metal/threads is super cheap. No matter how well you place plumbers tape and or washers every connection leaks. I should have spent a little more money and got a higher quality one.
