The color was a good match. And it’s pretty soft, not super shiny or plastic feeling. I don’t particularly love the curl pattern on it, and the packaging says you can’t use heat to restyle it unfortunately. Nowhere on the packaging was the length mentioned, so I used my hand for length reference. It was too short for my personal liking, but that’s not the product’s fault. Overall a pretty good bargain for the cost. Could be worn for a night out, but I think in the daylight it would be more obvious that it’s a hair piece and not your own hair. One thing I did not like is that it’s basically a big flat flap that just sits over your real ponytail. I think the claw clip style ones are much sturdier and you don’t risk it coming off center and exposing your natural hair. In the photo where my head is turned you can see all my real hair poking out of the back because the ponytail just flopped off its base. So to get this to seamlessly blend you’ll need to pin it down by the bottom of the lace, or have the exact color/length/curl pattern as the hair piece. ... show more

My own hair is thin and fine. It's sad. After a hard day with a thin sad looking ponytail I ordered this...I should have just stopped. So my thin and fine hair is almost waist length. The problem with this is that there is no real "pocket" in this ponytail thing so my thin fine hair likes to hang below the ponytail thing. Don't ask me to curl it, I have tried. So if there was a REAL pocket that would hold your own fine thin hair it would be better. Then let's go to the fact that it is heavy. It really is. It might start pulling the actual pony tail and then you have a fun problem because you can't get to your real ponytail to tighten it. I am glad it works for some. It might work if you own hair is not long and you want a pretty pony or if your own hair isn't as long as mine and you want to add fullness. The color was a little off for me but it didn't matter too much. I should have sent it back, but I didn't. I am not sure what I am going to do with it. Maybe keep experimenting. Maybe I can put it on the dog occasionally for entertainment purposes. Not sure yet. Maybe one of these days I will keep shopping for one that actually works. ... show more

This was so heavy on my thin head of hair and got super uncomfortable with the Velcro pressing against my scalp. I added a claw clip to my head directly underneath the the wrap around part to try to keep it from drooping and digging into my skin. I was very happy I was working from home the day I tried it so I could keep coming up with solutions. I am still giving it 5 stars because of the price, the quality of hair, and the assembly of it. I’m going to thin it out to take away some of the weight, and probably make it shorter, but my hubby said it looks really good and cute and it matches my hair really well. ... show more

Purchase light auburn brown. Thought it’d be too dark in package but matched very well once I put it on! It’s a little shiny but not that bad and I was able to comb it. Not a ton of shedding. I ordered ash brown, but the color looks way more in the blonde range. The packaging says ash brown, so just keep that in mind when picking a color. It's not very soft but I feel like that's an easy fix.

The hair was soft and not too shiny. It stays in good, but that comb will reposition and start digging in my head. I try to ignore it, but have to take it out cause it hurts.
