I actually bought this sponge for my 6 mo old daughter who has Down syndrome bc her PT suggested she have something weighted while in her bath seat so as to ground her. It has worked well bc it is very heavy when wet. I purchased the 2 pack bc I have a toddler as well. They are a good size and super cute. I do think they should be a little less expensive, but everything should nowadays! If you are looking for an actual functional sponge, this is not it. It’s more of a stuffed animal that can get wet!     • Great bath toys
I had no idea who Peppa and George Pig were when I ordered these. My young nieces quickly educated me. Since then, I have seen a couple of episodes online - who'd have guessed they'd become so popular. My nieces instantly recognized these toys (doesn't always happen right away) and were thrilled to get them. I've been told that they're still a gigantic hit at bath time (they've had them about a month), and are the stars of many in-bath stories made up by the girls. In terms of quality - top notch. The toys are well made, soft, and easy to clean (well, they spend their work life in the bathtub, so of course they stay clean). You can add soap in the back and they will foam up with squeezing, but that really takes a back seat to playtime. According to my brother, it's just easier to wash the kids when their focus is spent on playing with the toys - they don't care that they're being washed, and you know that they're actually getting clean. I'm glad we ordered these - I got lots of kudos for showing up with them, and the parents are thrilled that bath time is easy and fun. ... show more

Both of my children (older daughter, younger son) love to watch Peppa Pig and relate to the characters so they went wild when they saw these arrived in the mail. They have tons of the tiny figures from the series (many Peppas and Georges, lots of the friends) and they have Peppa’s house, car, and treehouse so they immediately took these sponges to play with them and the mini figures. When bath time came around I added kids’ soap to the mesh pouch on the “neck” of each sponge, but the soap barely came through despite saturating the sponges and wringing/squishing them. I gave up on this method and squeezed the soap directly onto the back of each sponge and that worked a little better but the soap didn’t foam up like it normally does with a body wash puff. My children felt clean after their bath and scrubbing the Peppa and George all over, but I’m not sure if that’s because the sponges were really good at exfoliating rather than truly cleaning or if the soap did lather as intended with these sponges. I think these are a good value if you plan on letting Peppa and George dry then allowing your child to play with them like normal plush toys. They would also be cute to have as toys inside a pool. However, if you’re interested in buying these sponges only to clean your child or children then hanging them back up until the next bath time, I think these are a little too expensive for that purpose. ... show more

So this plush Peppa Pig bath sponge is such a cute bathing time product to come up with but it is flawed. It does not function well as a bath sponge even if you follow the instructions as is. It can be used as an added bathtime toy and kids may wanna use it as a sponge with the bathtub already filled with suds all over, however, even after using the back pockets with the soap, it just won't lather as it should be. I’d rather let my child play with it during her bath time to make it more fun. And that's about it. ... show more

I have two daughters that like peppa so I’m thankful this came with peppa and George! There is an insert in the back of both that I can only assume is for some bar soap, but we didn’t put any in for now. When my older girl is a little more autonomous in her bathing routine I probably will. For now they loveeee playing with these in the bath. Another positive aspect to these is that they don’t stain from bath products or certain toys that change the color of bath water. They are even safe from satans crayons, aka crayola bathtub crayons. We did a blue/green bath bomb and when peppa and George dried they had a mild blue line on their snout but I squeezed them out with clean water and they were back to brand new!
