This is a durable stand with adjustable height. I utilize the stand near my stationary bike for reading on my Kindle Scribe while exercising. The stand is stable enough for me to rest my elbow and write on the device comfortably. Before assembling, you need to decide on the desired height. This decision determines whether to use the extension rod with the telescopic rod for the maximum height or to use just the telescopic rod for the minimum height. The instructions were not clear on this. I chose to use the stand with the shortest adjustable height, but the extension rod remains unused. Additionally, the small tray requires using the rubber inserts; a number of inserts are provided depending on where you want to position the tray. The reading table features adjustable page holders, which are not required for use with my Kindle Scribe. However, these page holders are beneficial for positioning the Kindle at a comfortable angle for writing. ... show more

This is essentially a portable podium. It has an extendo tube that allows you to change the height for a tabletop use or for a very tall person to stand behind. It is customizable and height and angle of the holder. It is very nicely made and obviously very durable and strong however it is a tad unstable even on a hard surface. It seems that the base is just a tad too small for the weight of everything that this holder can accept. All that being said this is a great item if you need a temporary podium or something that you know is never going to get bumped to hold things like cookbooks your phone or whatever. ... show more

This stand is rugged construction and has good weight distribution to prevent movement and tipping. It can be put to a variety of uses. For instance, we are trying it out at the exit of a Welcome Center to encourage visitors to sign in and to offer suggestions about our services. We noticed that our guest book placed at the service desk was not being used much, possibly because people did not wish to be watched over as they made their entries and they had to lean in to access the guest book. Placement at the exit is a less intimidating location. It is easy to access at eye level, takes up little space, and the handy tray is a great place for pens and a thank you candy treat. Set up was pretty straightforward. It seems very sturdy and has a good aesthetic. I love how it fits into my music room decor. Beautiful wood; added bonus of a place under the music holder to put items such as a phone, a tuner, keys, etc. It is smaller than most stands, but hold a large music book as seen in photo.
