I tested the chain couple of days back before my trip to Colorado where I might end up using it depending on the weather. I got the metal chain variant as I was not comfortable with the plastic variant. My exposure to snow is pretty less considering I have stayed in CA and TX mostly. The chain's width is good enough for my car and I was able to tighten it. They were easy to take off too. It comes with a pair of gloves but I recommend taking another pair along. Instructions are quick and easy and if you know what you are doing then you won't even need it. I am hoping this would work for my once in a while trip to snow laden areas in NM or CO. My city shuts down when it snows so don't really need it at home.

I wasn't sure these would work since they looked small. After checking fitment, they fit just fine. Although I haven't actually had an opportunity to test them out, but they seem like they would be adequate should the need to have arise.

These are easy to keep in your trunk, easy to install, and I had good success testing them on snowy roads up to about 30mph. Excellent gift to give for christmas as well, and cheaper to get than dedicated snow tires if you only experience snowy conditions occasionally
