  • Strange name - great goggles
As I've gotten older, it's been harder to find goggles that fit my face. And when I do find a model that works, you can bet that they will soon quit making them. So I like to keep using them until I can't see out of them or the seals break down. Which brings me to my situation a few weeks ago. I had been using Tyr Lo Pro goggles for several years, but my last pair just crapped out & they don't make them anymore. Time to search for the next solution. I saw a review for something called Pig & Snake that seemed to tick all the boxes for what I'm looking for. Found out they're actually called Snake & Pig Basilisk. OK - shades of Harry Potter & a bit pricey. But if they live up to the hype, they just might be worth it. After 2 swims, I'm impressed. They seal well without having to tighten the strap an excessive amount. The nose-bridge fits well over my big schnoz & deep-set eyes. There are 3 sizes of replaceable nose-bridges for different face shapes, but the default one fit pretty good & I didn't bother trying the other 2. The field-of-view is pretty wide & the optics are clear. The anti-fog coating is working good so far. I'll give an update if it starts to fail later. The only minor downside is that they could leak if you do a strong wall push-off or block-start. They're not low-profile, so might not be appropriate for racing. I had to tighten them a bit because they were moving & leaking after my flip-turns. But they still weren't uncomfortable & I possibly could have tightened them even more. Changing the strap angle on the back of my head might help too. So, in summary, I think they're worth the price for my fitness swimming needs, if they last at least a year or 2. I'll probably buy a spare pair in a couple months if my opinion hasn't changed. ... show more

  • Love 'em! First goggles I've owned that don't leak and are relatively comfortable!
I've tried seemingly every type of swim goggles (and masks!) to enjoy both comfort and no leaks when I swim and no highly indented, raccoon face afterwards. These goggles, at least for me, keep the leaks at bay, are relatively comfortable (nothing tight is perfect!), and leave relatively minimal indentations in my face. I like that they're tinted brown/gold, so the goggles serve to lesson the sun's glare outside and brighten up my swimming inside, as if a golden sun were out. Take it from someone who has searched far and wide for goggles that perform the way I want them to, buying, as I have, multiple snorkeling masks and many inexpensive and expensive pairs of goggles just to find some that work. These goggles do, plus, the roller tightener for the band is a wonderful addition! ... show more

  • Good seal
These fit well, but they may give you what they call raccoon eyes if he use them for a few hours. I decided I wanted to get one that was larger eye openings.

  • LOVE these goggles! BUT
They DO leave marks around my eyes. Sadly, anatomy makes goggles difficult for me - my eyes are large and set wide apart, my nose is wider and my face is narrow. That means that most goggles designed for standard European faces don't work well for me. I used to adore the old Barracuda goggles because the nose bridge was soft and adjustable (not just 3 set sizes), the foam around the eye pieces didn't press as hard into the tissue inside the orbital bone and taking them off didn't involve pulling them off to break the suction. Also, one could repair them a piece at a time which made them more sustainable. However, they aren't made any longer and the deadstock elastic and foam doesn't work as well. So I've moved on to these and I like the packaging. A pair lasts me about 6 months (I swim 5 days a week in a salt water pool). I do carry them in my old Barracuda case which doesn't crush them and has them last a little longer. ... show more

  • Comfortable on sensitive skin
Thank you for making these! I have eczema that can be very severe at times. Regular goggles push into my skin in a way that creates agitation which leads to eczema. (regardless of how tight or loosening, or trying difference bridges) ---- These goggles are SO much more comfortable and I didn't have any agitation. Instead of a tight seal on a thin area around my eye, there is medium pressure over a larger surface area. For me, these are perfect! (almost daily exercise swimmer) ... show more

  • Hopefully this last longer then my first
Pair which I bought in April and lasted 5 months of daily pool swimming. Very comfortable and easy to adjust, however for $35 I wouldn't expect the plastic clasp to break

  • fits large heads great
I liked that the nose bridge was adjustable, I have a large head and always have trouble with goggles leaking. With these goggles I have no leaks at all and they are very comfortable.

  • NOT 4 OCEAN! lenses scratch easily
Yes very comfortable and don’t leak but I can’t see out of them after limited use. Not worth $40(=35+tax) I agree with Regina. They Scratch Way way way too easily. Definitely do not use in Ocean ¡NOT 4 OCEAN! lenses scratch easily
