08 JK.. Easy to install after watching a few YouTube videos. 1 and a half hours by myself.. Went on well and looks good. Quieter than old softop. Waxed my zippers and everything zipped right up in 75deg temp with no problems. Had it on a few weeks with no leaks.. The problem, like many others is the back window zipper. I unzipped the back 1 time and couldn't get the right side to zip back down. Even on a sunny, 90deg, South Georgia day. The zipper teeth on the top side, not the back window side, in the top right corner, started pushing out of place. No matter if I align them back up and re-lube them, they still push apart and the zipper will not go past them.. All I can do at this point is buy another top. I like Smitty built stuff, but this top, never again. And I probably won't purchase any of their softops again. ... show more

Very nice product. It was a pain to install, but after that no problems. We have had it on since May and it is holding up as good as oem. We take the top off a few times a month. There are really no issues what so ever with this product. The material is a little lighter then oem but so close you would never know it was aftermarket. We are loving the tinted back windows, the oem were clear. I am the “guy” that wants good quality cheap and look for a week online before buying for the best deal and quality. I bought this to replace the old and worn out top I had. It was harder than what i thought it would be but at 70 I got it done by myself. It fit fair I did have to place the jeep out in the sun 95deg to help it stretch and from there was not to bad. Looks nice feels good and think it will do the job I bought it for. It wasn't too bad to install. I did it by myself and maybe took little over hour. The paper directions were a bit confusing but I found a video online and was able to install without any issues. Like other people the back window was the hardest to zipper,but my error was not positioning the back flaps correctly, I had them spread too far out. Overall, it was easy to install on 70 degree day, probably would have been easier if it was warmer out. Love the tinted windows, so clear and easy to see out of, my originals were clear with so many scratches. Still noisy when I drive, but like others say, it's a Jeep and it's a 2008! I had a leak at driver's side door with old top, hasn't rained yet so I'm not sure if this solved the issue. Nice top for the price. ... show more

    • The back window is extremely difficult to install
I like the roof overall. It's nice having a new roof, that is solid and fits securely, rather than my 7 year old roof that wasn't. The back window is the exception to my overall satisfaction with the roof. I will need to find a lube for the zipper, but both top corners are the real problem area for zipping on or off the back window. I don't know what the final solution will be, but it's on now, and I'm happy with it, my only concern is, what will happen the first time I need to take the back window off, and I raise and lower the roof. ... show more
