This rug looks great and is really soft. After the 2nd trip through the washing machine, however, the backing came apart. There's a layer of foam under the grippy stuff that came off in 100 tiny pieces. My cat barfs on this rug a lot, which is why I wanted something that was machine washable. The length and width is perfect for my needs but it’s not as soft or comfortable as I had hoped. It’s not necessarily uncomfortable but it’s not great. I recently purchased a smaller version locally and it is fantastic; however, I needed a second but it was not to be found. This one is a fair substitute but unless it softens after a wash I will not be sad to let it go when I find a match for my original. However, If this had been my first purchase I’m pretty certain my opinion probably would be more favorable because I wouldn't have had a comparison. ... show more

The rug works as it's supposed to, nothing to complain about. very absorbent, I can't feel it's wet even if I stand on it right after taking a shower, and it's soft and comfortable. EDIT: Changed this from 5 to 1 star. The non-slip backing detached from the back the first time it was washed according to directions. It's still attached by stitching around the edges but the rug ends up in a wad on the floor in no time. Original: I got this rug to put in front of the french doors for the poodles to wipe their feet when they come in wet with dew in the mornings. Needless to say, they don't stop and make n effort to actually wipe their feet, so I needed something super absorbent. It works (when their feet actually land on it)! It's nice and thick and I've had no trouble with it sliding about even with three large dogs scampering over it. ... show more
