I have always loved Smartwool socks. Whether I buy the really thick ones or these thinner ones, they keep my feet warm. I don’t buy them for hiking, so I can’t say how they hold up to that type of wear. I do know that they wash well if you follow the instructions of turning them inside out.

Winter will never be warmer...

Love these socks. I'm wearing them around the house as just foot warmers. Almost compression-like fitting, but not uncomfortable. Very soft and extremely warm. For a person with cold feet--constantly--they are a blessing.

I just discovered wool socks and wish I could afford more pairs. They do require special care for cleaning, but to me the comfort is well worth it. This blue color is so pretty. I can’t wait for fall and winter to wear these!

Very nice socks; a lil too padded for a few of my shoes

I love my Smartwool socks. Wear well, warm and don't itch (and I often have itches from wool garments). This is my first pair of this style and I think they'll be a bit warmer than my thinner models. Best hiking socks for all day on they trails. I normally wear 11 shoes so ordered a large by the chart. Definitely needed a medium. They still work fine, I just know for next time to size down.
