I had a Fitbit Versa a couple years ago as a swimmer and i got back into fitness recently and needed a new watch. This is so much better than my Versa! It has cool features for a much better price! I can hear people talk to me on a call on it and see notifications, as well as use it as a flashlight and alarm. It tracks my steps and kcals. I love the app, it’s a little funky but definitely useable. And they have free watch faces you can do or upload your own photos! Battery life is really long too. I loved it, at first. It came in and I opened it up, just to charge it and see that it wants you to download the app before you can do anything on it. I don't have a phone, so I'm waiting for my mom to download it. Yes, you can only download on a phone, annoyingly so. So I still don't know how good it works. I didn't need anything fancy, and with this being a generic watch, I wasn't expecting much. However, it still fell short. The app drains my phone battery so quick, and the longest the watch screen will stay on is 20 seconds. This makes it really difficult when I'm trying to time my runs. All I needed was something to tell me how long and how far I've been running but it's made it more difficult than it needs to be. Also, when I'm biking, it will tell me how long I've been out but not how far. Any watch can tell you how long, smart watch or not. I wanted a watch to tell me how far because the odometers I hook up to my bike either don't work to begin with, or quit working once I have to cross a river (something I frequently have to do when mountain biking). I liked this watch so much that I bought one for my mom and she really likes it too. I am not a really tech savy person so I was happy to find this watch easy to use. I like the breathing feature, tracking my sleep and exercise and being able to answer phone calls when my cell phone is in the bottom of my purse.
