Just as we’re getting used to being glued to our phones, here comes a watch that requires you only to raise your wrist. If my casual survey of the phone-addicted is any guide, we’re mostly using it for text messages. This smartwatch takes care of that for you. It’s a one-way street, as there’s no easy way to respond, but it gathers all manner of social-media messages for you. And you can place calls and answer them, although with somewhat less fidelity than a good phone offers. But I bought this for my wife, who has become addicted to its fitness-tracking ability. It tracks her steps, walking or running, while monitoring her heart rate and blood oxygen, and rewards her with a multi-color screen that competes its design when she meets her daily goal, as you can see in the pictures. When she sleeps, it tracks not only the hours she spends in dreamland but also how much REM sleep she acquires in the course of the night. In other words, it offers both comfort and anxiety, but I suppose the anxiety is useful, persuading her to walk a little more to meet the day’s goal. More detailed information comes from the GloryFit app, which is also where you choose your watch face (there are many) and set other options. There’s a slew of sports modes she has yet to examine, which offer data according to the particular sport you’re engaged in.     • Same features for a fraction of the cost of the overpriced fitbits

I am not claiming that these are the same high quality as my Fitbit Versa tracker, but it has 90 percent of the features at about one tenth of the cost. I have been buying Fitbits for years but just like the Apple products they come to a point where they become useless if you don't upgrade. I am getting tired of paying the high prices, so I have randomly tried some of the lower priced activity trackers. The one has been the lowest priced watch I have found by at least ten bucks yet so far it has outperformed all of the knock offs i have tried. Better battery, better screen and most important it is quick. No lag time waiting for anything to load. Using it every day for close to a month I have never had to reset it or turn it off which is unheard of. It is hard to believe they can manufacture a device that does so much, so well at such a dirt-cheap price. I am giving this to my daughter and purchasing another one for myself. Super easy to use. The app is very user friendly. No instructions needed but I do recommend watching a you tube video on a similar watch. I have one posted that I did a year or so ago which covers everything you need to know. Dont be worried about not understanding the high-tech stuff. This is as easy to use as an everyday watch. It tells you exactly what to do. Step by step. A great gift for yourself. I feel that these trackers make it fun to take care of yourself. Setting goals and meeting or beating them is a blast. If you are hesitant to go all out buying a two-hundred-dollar Fitbit then grab one of these for a test ride and my bet is, you won't bother upgrading. ... show more

After using this watch for just over a month, I can say that the battery life is much better than expected. I can easily go at least 18 hours with regular use and still have 20-30% battery still left. The sound clarity is excellent amd phone calls can be heard clearly even in slightly noisy environments. Texts come through immediately and the bluetooth connection range is good too. I am still connected to my phone when it's over 50 feet away. I bought this after seeing a friend at work, whose wife had bought one for him. He loved his and I got to play with it and was very impressed with all the features. I was even more surprised at the price point. After receiving this one in the mail and using it for the past few days, I can honestly say that I'm very pleased with my purchase. My daughter (A junior in HS) has been begging me for a smart watch. However I was not willing to shell out the price for a Samsung Smartwatch for a teenager. Then came along this smart watch. I figure what the heck, for the price it can't hurt! This actually a nifty little smartwatch and she loves it. The setup process is not as user friendly for non Samsung or Apple watches, but once we figured it all out it was great. She has only had it a few days, so if anything changes I will update this review. But for the cost, you really can't lose with this one! I got this for my teenage daughter who was jealous of my name brand smart watch. She LOVES it. The screen is large and easy to read. The touch sensitivity is perfect and it's easy to navigate. She has become obsessed with counting her steps so that's an awesome side effect.
