it's genuinely a lovely blanket- i've been using it off and on for I believe 9 months now and it helps so much- only one of the seams has come undone, but it was an internal seam that just kept the beads in place, and it only loosened minimally even then

    • I have one complaint, a BIG one...
My blanket was delivered on March 13th and I immediately put it on my bed that night, and slept with it every single night until last night. I'll start by saying that I really do love this blanket and how it made me feel upon getting into bed. I weigh 150# and bought the 15# 48" x 72" for my full sized bed. Yesterday I happened to be looking at a handful of other blankets. On ONE of those it said that people with joint problems, nerve issues, issues with shoulders, ankles, knees and back problems should NOT use a weighted blanket to sleep. I have looked into and read the descriptions on dozens and dozens of these blankets and I have never read that before. I have all of those problems except shoulders. After the first week with this blanket I was waking up in severe pain and couldn't figure out why. I thought the rib pain might have been from the blanket but it felt so good on my legs that I just pulled it up to the bottom of my ribcage. Since reading the warning yesterday the blanket has been on my couch, to use as an anxiety and napping blanket. In my opinion this warning should be in the description and/or the pictures of EVERY SINGLE weighted blanket. If I had known this I either would've bought a lighter blanket or none at all. Very disappointed AND it's past the return date now. I don't know how long it's going to take to recover after using it for a month and a half straight but I can tell you that it's not overnight because I'm still in severe pain in my back, hips and knees. I'm guessing it'll probably take at least a week, maybe longer. To the seller I say, please, please, PLEASE add this warning to your description. ... show more

    • Heavy but not comfortable
I like to sleep with a heavier comforter than a light one and purchased this one. It's good at the beginning of the sleep cycle but it's not convenient/comfortable later. It's not easy to turn on your sides because it's heavy.

    • Best Thing I've Done For My Sleep
This is seriously one of the best things I've bought probably ever. It's only been a few months and mine arrived in with clean stitching and whatnot, so I can't attest to whether it's a "buy it for life" kind of product or not, but it has seriously improved my sleep. I have ADHD, anxiety, and depression, all which equate to a lot of sleep issues. My autistic relative has had a weighted blanket for years now, and it was making me wonder if it would help me too. It really has! Between this weighted blanket and my sound machine, I've gone from around 4 to 5 hours of sleep to 7 - 9. I can only speak from my experience, and this seems to be a great value product. Like I said, my stitching was all clean and strong upon arrival. No obvious broken glass balls. I've lugged it around place to place a few times to ensure I get good sleep, and it doesn't seem to have stressed it at all. While one (*cough* me) should really get a duvet cover for it, I've been using a sheet or blanket between me and the weighted blanket to keep it cleaner. Update: I spoke to my chiropractor about the additional back and hip pain that I thought was from the blanket and he recommended I remove the blanket until the soreness eased. It appears the blanket was adding to the ache from coughing and such. Adding the blanket was similar to pulling a muscle and then lifting weights using that muscle. My ribs and back needed to heal prior to using the blanket. I did as he suggested and then returned the blanket to my bed. I am back to really liking the extra weight. I think it may be a bit warm in the summer months but like again now. After the initial week or so, I loved the blanket. I remembered when I was young and loved the colder weather for sleeping because of all of the blankets piled on more for the weight than the heat. It is harvest time and my allergies kicked in causing a lot of coughing. My back and ribs hurt from what I thought was the coughing. Even though my coughing has almost stopped, my rib, back and hip pain continues to increase. I think this is due to the weight of the blanket. I did not realize this until after the return period and have now taken it off my bed. I purchased the 20 lb queen size blanket based on the recommendations on the site and it may have been better to go with the lower weight to avoid these issues. ... show more

    • FIXED MY SLEEPING HABITS!
I love this weighted blanket! I was sleep deprived for 3 days- tossing and turning, staring at the ceiling at 3 am, the whole insomnia cycle. Even taking melatonin wasn’t helping me. It got so bad that I was twitching from no sleep, and people were noticing my eyes grew puffier. This blanket was a life-saver! I order a twin size for my full-sized bed. I admit when I first got it, I thought it was too heavy and thought that I would suffocate, but it was actually perfect! I put it over my comforter and in a second, my body felt sleep coming. It’s enough pressure to relax the body from twitching and enough heft to prevent you from tossing and turning as much. It’s not super soft, but smooth. The beads inside don’t make crackling noises like you’d expect- more like holding uncooked rice in your hands.
