I liked that the Dolphin Stand was heavy duty! I am a quilt maker and have trouble photographing my large quilts. This stand is built tough. It has the ability to telegraph up and support the quilt without wobble or fear of toppling over! Will recommend this product to my quilting buddies.     • It's hard to find a sturdy backdrop stand
As I mentioned, it is hard to find decent, sturdy backdrop stand. 98% of the backdrop stands you find on here are thin and can't hold much weight without sagging. This backdrop stand is sturdy and holds its own. What makes the bar most sag-resistant is the twist-lock style sections. As a professional photographer, I can recommend this. ... show more

    • Used these to hold quilts!
I bought a pair of these stands to hold special quilts for a quilt show. The stands are really nice and easy to set up. I used the 10' top bar (4 pipe sections) for a king sized quilt. There was a little bit of sag in the middle but they held well for the 2 days I used them. The quilt was well under the max weight specified, I think the bow was just from the thin wall sections of pipe. Still a pretty good value for the cost, I'd buy again if I needed another. Event designer, needed a photo backdrop for a party & initially was going to make one out of wood, but found this option scrolling Amazon & decided to take a chance. So happy with this product! Easy to set-up take down & store. Light weight, especially compared to an all wood option. Loved being able to adjust height for the space I was using and it held 25-30lbs of fabric with minimal bow. Cons: the width is only ‘adjustable’ to a degree. The sides (height) are telescoping and can be set to specific heights, but the center bars (width) are click together bars about 2.5-3” across so you can make it wider or less so, only in increments of 3”. Worked out for this space, but definitely would’ve preferred being able to adjust the width with more precision. Also, one of the four top bars came with an overly wide plastic connector & I had to use a lot of extra force to get it to couple with the other bar which consequently made taking them apart more difficult. Overall, I was really happy to have found this frame. Great price, Amazon delivery time was amazing & the ease of use made my day infinitely more easy and that’s priceless when you have an elaborate set-up for a job. ... show more

    • My worst fears for nothing
This product was delivered 4 hours ago and ahead of the time that I had expected. The plan was to use this with an existing vinyl 10 x 8 vinyl backdrop in conjunction with a fundraiser banquet. It arrived undamaged. The first time assembly was intuitively obvious to even me. One person can assemble after a few times in about ten minutes(not including hanging your backdrop). If two people hang the backdrop and install the straps to make it taut it might take another 5 minutes. We will use it indoors, so that should be environmentally friendly. It may get a trial outdoors at some juncture, so we shall see. It is exactly what I was hoping for even though I have zero experience with such equipment. So portable! The carrying bag is just right for all the components! I was put off by a few of the negative reviews but I encountered none of the issues mentioned. I have never set one of these up before nor touched one. I had it up in 10 minutes. It is super easy. The up arms are in the stand's tube. Very nice case, with sturdy poles. My Tent is 10'x10' and heavy but it sustains it. Update. The zipper on the case broke when I tried to zip it up after taking the unit down. It really need to be zippered, don't know what to do. only used it once. The zipper not zipping cause everything to spill out. ... show more
