These sheets did start pilling after a few washes, but remained relatively soft despite it. They are a nice weight and size, and don't shrink much. And the size is generous enough to fit our 12 inch mattress with room to spare.

I ended up returning these. They were very cheaply made. Balls of fluff rubbed off when I'd rub my finger across them. I figured they'd be see through in no time.
