Of the 48 - 3 came without a snap part inside the plastic and one was unsealed. I only needed 24, so it wasn't a big deal to me. They do really snap hard and were a little tricky for 5 year olds to use, but they eventually got the hang of it and loved it for their party.

Not sure how many kids with allergies benefitted but every kid that came to our house loved getting to pick out a bracelet and seemed really excited to get something different than just candy. You get what you pay for with these. The design tends to wear off fairly quickly and some of the bands even fell apart on the edges too. The kids enjoy having them though and we bought them as a party favor so it worked out just fine.
