    • Christmas Present for the Grandson
I ordered this for my grandson who will turn 4 shortly after Christmas. He loves anything related to tools and has lots of play tools. He's always sliding underneath riding toys as if he's repairing them, or squatting down as if he's examining what needs to be done. He's going to enjoy this for a long time! Everything goes together, comes apart, and goes back together with plastic screws and an electric child safe screwdriver. The plastic is sturdy but lightweight so nothing is too heavy for him to lift or handle. The working lights and sounds would tickle any little boy, although it is a bit loud for Mimi. $76.99 with a 30% coupon at the time of ordering makes this a fair price. ... show more

    • I hate this toy.
This was definitely NOT developmentally appropriate for the 4-year-old I bought it for. He was only interested in the steering wheel and the keys (extra disappointed they didn't include an ignition for the keys, huge missed opportunity). I thought if I put the whole thing together myself he would be interested in taking parts off. It took me a LONG time to put it together. It was difficult to get him interested in it but even when he did try to unscrew something he gave up because his motor skills just weren't developed enough to get the screwdriver in and turn more than once. Once I put batteries in it he did like playing with the gear shifter and a few other functions. My least favorite part of this is the little compartment for storing parts and tools. It makes the sound of a metal door that needs oiled, which is cute, but it keeps repeating until you close it. Unfortunately that door is not easy to close because it requires pushing and turning at the same time. My nephew is unable to do that, so he can't close it. He also apparently likes driving everyone crazy because whenever we closed the door he made sure to open it back up again to that sound that never turns off. I think this toy could be fun for a 7-year-old, but it was a lot of work for little gain in this house. ... show more

this is a great little toy my little boy likes to take outside to the truck when im working on mine so we can work on them together. it has lots of cool little functions he enjoys and its more about bonding together than anything. this creates a unique little relationship to cars / trucks and dad. its nice to have this around for this little cute connection we can bond over. i recommend it simply for that. but the quality is decent enough and has cute little animations. 5/5 ... show more
