  • Not allergic!
Style: 5 LB Goats Milk Soap Base
I have tried all 3 kinds. I really like them each. They have an instruction booklet for beginners, too. This is one of the only soaps I can find that I'm not allergic to. Hope they never change the recipe.

  • Lovely
Style: 5 LB Goats Milk Soap Base
I love this melt and poor. The ingredients are very similar to my cold process recipes. The soap has great lather and leaves your skin feeling soft. I have bought many other melt and pours products this one is in my top 5.

  • Worked for me
Style: 5 LB Goats Milk Soap Base
This is my first time making soap so I don't have anything to compare, but I really like goat milk. I liked the smell before I even added pumpkin spice to it. I gave 4 stars instead of 5, but it was a bit greasy. I'm not sure if that's normal.

  • As a beginner I find this to work wonderfully
Style: 5 LB Shea Butter Soap Base
My son started to grow a preference for handmade bar soaps which are incredibly expensive. So I decided to just try and make it myself and with this base it was much easier than I expected.

  • The best base I have found
Style: 5 LB Goats Milk Soap Base
I have used quite a few melt & pour bases, as well as purchased hand crafted soaps. One thing I am running into is that the soap dissolves too quickly - I maybe get a week out of a smallish bar in my main bathroom. BUT when I go back to this base, the bars last probably twice as long. I am not sure what the difference is - even my favorite handcrafted bar soaps from Idaho clearly changed their product recently so when I go back to this base, it makes me so happy. Not only does it keep my hands from Eczema attacks but it lasts long & makes beautiful melt & pour soaps. It literally takes me about 10 minutes to whip up a new batch of beautiful soaps! ... show more

  • Quality base, light smell, and palm free
Style: 5 LB Goats Milk Soap Base
I wanted to try a palm oil free base, and it's pretty good! I also love that it's sourced from Greece, where goat and donkey milk products are a huge thing. I'm new to melt and pour soap and burned my first batch of this, but like most crafts, it requires some trial and error. My second and following batches were flawless! * With that said, if you live at a high altitude (3000 ft. and above), my high altitude baking advice is shorter heat times. The higher the altitude, the lower the air pressure and that means moisture is lost more quickly. In the case of the goat milk version, it IS milk so it's going to fizz and bubble slightly when melted. But, if it starts to turn into a goopy sludge (even if the color is the same), it's starting to burn, won't pour as smoothly, and you should consider shorter bursts in the microwave. For me, 30 seconds, a stir, then 20 seconds, a stir, then 10 seconds and a final stir, did the trick. The smell is light and exactly what you would expect of goat milk. (If you've never smelled it, it's kind of like cream and wet hay or grass.) I can see how this might be too pungent for some, but if you like "farm fresh" scents, you'll probably like this. Lather is pretty good. I've only used it on my hands and it did the trick, though it took a few seconds of rubbing. I plan to test it with a loofah. My only complaint is the container. Getting portions out can be a pain unless you plan on doing the whole 5 lbs. in one sitting. If this company were to sell individually plastic wrapped 1 lb. blocks, that would be amazing. (Please do if you're reading this!) But overall, I'm satisfied. Good stuff. ... show more

  • The Best Soap Base Ever
Style: 5 LB Goats Milk Soap Base
I really love the creaminess of this soap . It melts so evenly and easily. It lathers so well. I didn’t know what I was missing until I used this brand in comparison to what I had been using. A GREAT soap base .

  • Good Organic Soap Base
Style: 5 LB Shea Butter Soap Base
This is a good organic soap base for you soap makers. Easy to use, melted well. What I find is that the finished soap did not lather up that well, maybe I will add more vitamin E or more shea butter next time I make soap. I also did not receive the 20 soap boxes that the instructions said was in it. But yes, I did like the fact that this soap was natural and free of bad additives. ... show more
