Buying shoes online is a risky proposition, especially for me. I'm 71 years old and my feet have changed significantly over the past five years. My toes curve inward and are a bit longer than what they were when I was younger (I walked for decades, between 5 and 10 miles a day, five days a week). Sizes have changed as well, reflecting shoes being made and marketed to numerous countries simultaneously. Making the situation even more complicated was the fact that I broke my femur and was in rehab at the time I ordered them. I tried to wear my sneakers but the pain was agonizing. All my fears were alleviated as soon as I put the Sketchers on. They fit perfectly (at one time I wore a woman's size 9 regardless of where I purchased them but now I have to order a men's size 10). They're very, very comfortable and give me the support I need while trying to recover fully from the broken femur. I do need a shoehorn to get the shoe on the foot of the injured leg but I'm able to easily remove them. When I saw a coworker wearing these Delson-Camden Skechers, I had to have a pair. Their style and convenience are impressive! The bungee-style laces are mostly for looks, but they help keep the shoes on snugly. What I like best is the slip-on feature--and at the same time they're fairly snug, unlike many loafers I've used. No slipping around in these puppies. Standing/walking for extended periods, they are still comfortable and my feet never felt overheated. Only complaint: the laces seem to loosen a bit and need to be pulled tight occasionally. Arch support is moderate--a bit more might be nice. I bought 9.5, my normal size. These were at least 0.5 or a whole size larger. I understand they are wide but they are also quite long.

Only wear this brand of shoe. Had the black and gray ones before. Decided to get a different color this time. Still fit good and don't feel like my feet are going to pop out when walking.

I ordered extra wide for my husband because he has had bunion surgery and his feet are sensitive. He loves these shoes and this is his second pair. The gray color is very soft and nice, not too bold, and looks nice with blue jeans. He wears his every day.

    • Sketchers quality but not suitable for wet conditions

For a casual sneaker these fit my requirements, I use these as a neutral accessory for wearing to the office and to the bar for drinks. I purchased the 10.5 wide in Black and gray and they go without pretty much any outfit combination. The materials make the shoe lightweight but fashionable, the black and gray color contrasts nicely but are not obnoxious. There is a brown leather pull tab on the front and rear of the shoe for assistance in getting the shoe on, but the shoe is easy to get on and off regardless. The elasticated grip (no tie up laces!) of the shoe is just enough to hold it on my foot without wobbling, but not too tight for it to be restrictive. Because this is a lightweight sneaker, the overall support for your foot is not as noticeable compared to a leather shoe that is more rigid. My only critic is that the open mesh top is great for the summer, but any amount of rain ends up soaking through the fabric. I accidentally toe dipped into a shallow puddle and ended up with a soaked sock. Overall, I purchased at $48 and would consider these a good price point, however, the normal price of $75 is too much in my opinion. ... show more
