So, this is the 3rd pair of these shoes, I have purchased. First the cons. They are NOT slip resistant, they are in no way shape or form water resistant (do not walk through we grass), the memory foam inserts wear out quickly, and the soles are not really made for long walks on hard surfaces (sidewalks, roads). I am a mail carrier and despite the cons listed above (some of them pertain to a daily 8.5-mile walking route) these are really nice shoes, ESPECIALLY considering the price. They feel great, weigh nothing and they keep your feet cool. My cons mainly relate to wearing them daily and with pretty extensive walking. If you are just wearing these shoes to go out, then they are perfectly fine. My ONLY legitimate complaints are, I wish the inserts had a little more durability and, I feel the same about the soles. The soles are an extremely soft rubber/foam that wear out fairly quickly and are about as slip resistant as walking on an ice rink that has been doused with baby oil wearing high heels. Again, these complaints are based on how much they are used on a daily basis but these shoes are fantastic. I have wide flat feet and these fit perfectly. I do NOT wear these in any sort of bad weather but in dry conditions, they are perfect. As a casual shoe they are great.     • A Nice Shoe and a Good Value for the Right Purposes
Size: 9.5 Color: Charcoal
These shoes are comfortable, good looking, lightweight, well-made, and relatively inexpensive. They are flexible and have a loop on the back, so they are easy to put on. The laces are good and tend to stay tied. The toebox is sufficiently roomy so as not to cramp your toes. When you first walk in them, you will feel a spring in your step, but this diminishes over time. I have not yet had them long enough to know how long the soles last before wearing down, but so far they continue cushion your steps and have a good grip. The uppers are mesh. As for the "foot sweat" factor, they fall somewhere in the middle range for similar shoes, depending on what kind of socks you are wearing. Though these shoes are designated as walking shoes, they are best suited as a casual shoe for going about town, or for exercise walking on relatively smooth indoor surfaces, such as an indoor track or at a mall. They are not stability or motion control shoes, so if your walking involves abrupt or frequent turns or changes in foot direction, they are less suitable as they provide relatively little support on the sides of the shoe. If you wear them for longer walking distances, I suspect you would feel some degree of fatigue in the soles and heels of your feet. I have a medium high arch and a slight tendency to overpronate. I’m not sure if I’ve just been wearing the wrong shoes my whole entire life, but when I slipped my foot into this shoe, it was like walking on a cloud. These are hands-down, the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn! I bought them right before traveling where I had to walk 5 miles a day sightseeing, and they were completely comfortable the entire time. Plus, they are machine washable!     • Good alternate for a hard to fit foot that isn't over $100

Bought these shoes for my husband who wears 12.5 4E sneakers. He usually gets Brooks sneakers since they have his size but they are expensive and he's rough on shoes. I did a little looking in hopes of finding something else that he could wear that was less expensive and came in a different color other than the gray colorway he's pretty much limited to with Brooks in his size. I bought the navy version and he loves them, has been wearing them since Valentine's Day which is when I got them for him as a gift. His old pair of Brooks was so run down that his feet and knees were hurting from wearing them. With these Sketchers, he is comfortable again and doesn't stay no to walks with me or the dog!     • Best Walking Shoe I Have Used

I have an eight hour shift that primarily consists of walking. I like light-weight shoes and obviously comfort is a prime consideration. I am on my third pair. As I recall there were few comments on the stickiness of the soles on hard surfaces. On hard flat smooth surfaces like marble or other such flooring they are sticky so if you are prone to not lifting your feet while walking you will experience excess traction so to speak. I have had this happen on a couple steps over a few hundred miles of walking. Not a problem for me as I did and do not lose my balance. But we are talking about hundreds of thousands of steps. If you are infirm might not be a great choice but I like the traction. Summary: Very comfortable and lightweight. Breathable mesh upper. Will ship water if you step in deep puddle so avoiding doing that. I add a gel-support insert. Highly recommended if you walk a lot on hard surfaces. Good for indoor and outdoor use. ... show more
