Given what napkin rings can cost in retail stores, and the modest price of these, I didn't expect them to be so substantial and well made. Plus, they're pretty! I also like that they aren't too bulky and obtrusive -I was worried the blue would be too intense relative to the cornflower blue china pattern but the woven wire/basket construction that lets you see the napkin through them, made it work. I was looking for a napkin ring that would tie in with these accent pieces while enhancing the appearance of the dark blue napkin. These are perfect.
