  • Good product - if you can ignore the material
I bought this to hold some collectible decks as well as built boards that I ride. It's a good product with some exceptions that other buyers have noted: 1) The material is chintzy. It's fabricated from MDF (medium density fiberboard) that splits and flakes on the edges from use (and abuse in shipping). 2) The material marks-up and mars decks that you may want to keep pristine. There's not much I can do about #1 - except design and build my own rack next time - but this one is off-the-shelf, ready to go, holds *several* decks and is an easy solution. To address #2 I ordered some 3/4" adhesive felt tape and applied it in a continuous strip on the perimeter - except the vertical back. It now cushions my decks and I can even put the rack on hardwood floor and furniture since the felt also covers the feet. If this only held built boards I'd skip the felt tape since boards get beat-up in use and grip tape will cause the felt to fuzz. ... show more

  • Nice!
Awesome rack for display. Wish the slots came with felt to keep the decks from scratching.

  • Perfect Rack
What a great rack this is! I was worried after I ordered that it wouldn’t be sturdy enough to support the longboards I planned to put in it. I am glad I was absolutely wrong about this. It’s very sturdy with zero chance of falling. The design is cool and allows the rack to hold whatever you throw at it. Super easy assembly also which took all of a minute (literally, it’s that easy). I’ll probably be buying another one as my collection grows. If you space your longboards apart and use every other slot (to account for wheel clearance), you can fit exactly 7 boards. If you get creative and stack them with wheels facing opposite directions, you can for more, which is very cool. Lots of flexibility with this particular stand which is why I settled on it instead of the others. Love it! ... show more

  • It needs cushioning to prevent scratching!
Great product! Holds the maximum amount of boards of any stand on amazon (that I searched for)! Very easy to assemble, heavy and sturdy! My only complaint is that the slots that hold the boards are very sharp. I didn’t think anything of it until a month later when I took a valuable deck out to look at and noticed that it scratched the bottom of the graphic. I fixed it by adding some soft-sided Velcro along all of the notches. Its a bit pricey in my opinion, but for the amount of decks it holds I can overlook that. I will be purchasing another soon. If you’re a vintage deck collector this is great! One word of advice: display the boards with the most extreme concave & kick on the top and work your way down to the bottom with the flattest decks with no concave. ... show more

  • OK Rack, Scratched Decks and Decks Not Held Into Place
This rack is OK. It is sturdy and is a good size for a skateboard rack. You cannot put complete boards on it. Even the decks do not sit in the slots properly. This rack will also scratch your decks and it is important to put soft velcro in the slots as someone mentioned in their review. Velcro isn't cheap so had to spend about $12 on it. Would not buy again. Maybe will try the other rack with vertical slots. ... show more

  • Saves space and looks good.
Holds a good amount of boards. Does not show as much graphics as I wish it did, but it displays well. Older boards without concave do not display well do to the angle of the slots. This rack would be perfect if slots leaned more upward.

  • More than good enough
Better fit for my space than expected. The materials appear pretty cheap, but it works very well. Would be 5 stars if there was any pleasant finish or paint or coating ot texture or anything. For the price, I'd expect a nicer looking product. That said, with some careful planning I was able to hold 10 various sized skateboard as well as a tucked away place to lean a couple larger electric skateboards. ... show more
