Description

Skar Audio engineered the RP-350.1D Class D monoblock subwoofer amplifier to be dominant in both power and reliability compared to anything else on the market in its' class and physical size. Designing the most efficient, well built, high quality amplifiers is where we start here at Skar Audio, and that is exactly what is delivered in this unit. The smallest of all RP series amplifiers, the RP-350.1D is the perfect solution for when you need versatility but are not willing to sacrifice power output. The RP-350.1D is 1-ohm stable and utilizes a wide array premium internal components that make it extremely powerful and reliable - such as its high speed MOSFET power supply and advanced PCB board layout. Conservatively rated at 350 watts RMS power at a 1-ohm load, with the capabilities of reaching beyond 388 watts at max power output. This compact, small footprint amplifier, is by far one of the most affordable monoblocks we have ever released, and is great for powering a pair of subwoofers rated around 200 watts rms each or a single subwoofer around 400 watts rms. In addition to all of the above features, the 8 gauge power and ground terminals found on the amplifier allow for maximum current flow and therefore higher power output and more efficient operation. Furthermore, you'll have full reign over your amplifier with the built-in user control panel, featuring a bass EQ switch (0, +6, +12dB), and variable adjustment tunings for gain level, low-pass filter, and subsonic filter. Featuring 4-way protection circuitry, you'll have the peace of mind knowing that you are protected against damage to the amplifier for various reasons - including electrical shortage, over heating, low voltage, and more. This amplifier comes with a remote subwoofer level control (bass knob) allowing the user to have full control over their bass from the front of the vehicle.

  • Great sound,great bass..

  • Great little amp
Size: 350 Watt Class D Monoblock
This thing is a great value. I paired it with a skar svd8 inch subwoofer and it sounds awesome. It performs very well for a small amp and has plenty of power to push the little 8 inch sub. I haven't noticed it getting hot or anything and haven't had any issues with any distortion or it going into protect mode so overall I am super happy with it. It's small and compact and doesn't weigh much at all so that's a plus too. ... show more

  • Great underrated Amplifier
Size: 4500 Watt Class D Monoblock
After using only Sundown products for the last 7 years, it came a time when I wanted to build a budget build and Sundown was not in it. For years i've seen the massive amount of what I will now call 'propaganda' against this company which said it's products were terrible. Not only is that untrue, my experience is 100% the opposite in my limited time with it. The RP-4500 is as powerful as you would expect a 4500w rms amplifier to be, it has lots of power. For an amplifier that does not include an internal fan to keep cool, the beefy heatsink does a wonderful job even in hot sun of keeping the amp within temp on near clipping load for over an hour. Sound quality wise it is no different than the most expensive sundown amplifiers or the least expensive down4sound amplifiers, in my experience. Budget wise it provides one of the best price per watt ratios in the amp market right now. Very happy with this purchase. What I think could make this board better would be to include a clip indicator knob and maybe a cooling fan. A foam gasket around the back panel of the amplifier would be great to reduce vibration induced noise/rattle. Sundown audio amplifiers for example include this gasketing. ... show more

  • Not a bad little amp
Size: 350 Watt Class D Monoblock
Needed a small amp to go with a Pioneer 12" for my wife's car. It's the same sub I have in my car, both in sealed boxes, but I have a Kicker 300.1 amp in mine. This amp is small compared to the Kicker. About 1/3 the size. The bigger terminals don't like smaller wire, so I had to fold the ends over and solder them even on the remote turn-on wire. Don't get me wrong, it puts out plenty of thump, especially for the money. But it's not quite as crisp and doesn't hit as hard as the Kicker. I mean, I was able to rattle the windows in the house with some DJ Magic Mike. Everyone came out of the house when it was cranked. Just those lows are missing some life. At the same time, playing some death metal hits hard but like I said, it's missing that crispness. When tuned, there's no distortion muddling the sound. If you just want to add some bass that you can feel and sounds decent, it's a great little amp. But it's also not a high quality audiophile amp if that's what you want. I'll give it four stars only because it's not a five star amp. Outside of that, nothing would stop me from recommending it to someone. ... show more

  • Insanity!
Size: 4500 Watt Class D Monoblock
The media could not be loaded. I like how loud and perfect this setup is, or any of my Skar setups for that matter. Just a beautiful thing. Bravo, Skar… Bravo Edit: My 4500.1 is NOT mounted to the enclosure. I fabricated a bracket and it just floats there and stays cool. The 4 EVL 12’s must be getting broken in or something because it is getting even louder! I never even found the limit when I was tuning it. I just stopped when it started to hurt my ears and threw iced coffee on my dash because it was shaking so much in the cup holder. I haven’t even ported the enclosure yet! Good grief man. Peoples reactions when they get in and hear/feel it for the first time… priceless. ... show more

  • Big sound little package. But didn't last
Size: 350 Watt Class D Monoblock
The sound quality that this Amp had was amazing. Leaps and bounds better than the 10 year old Amp that it replaced. But it was very short lived. It lasted 5 days and has developed a direct short to ground. Update* scar sent a shipping label and are going to verify the problem then send another amp once they've verified the failure. Fun fact, they offer a 2 year warranty. I'd rate the seller high but I'm going to wait until I receive and test the replacement Amp before I update the review. Update: skar sent another amp and once again....this little amp out performs the Blaupunkt 750watt amp that I was using for a backup while I was waiting on skar to send another amp. Wow. I may be asking too much for this Amp now but it's pushing 2 punch p1 10s quite well. But I do believe that I'll be upgrading to a larger skar amplifier in the near future. The customer service has been amazing and they have definitely earned a repeat customer here. ... show more

  • Great amp!
Size: 350 Watt Class D Monoblock
I have zero complaints. If I had to not pick, if complain about the way the wires are tightened. I'm not sure how other amps hold the power cables but this feels like a hazard if you car tools in the same trunk. I feel like a staple could cause the two screws to touch

  • Protection mode immediately
Size: 350 Watt Class D Monoblock
Received a new amp. Hook it up and it goes into protect mode for two seconds, then powers on. But puts out very little power. Contact skar customer service, they run me through tests and all checks out but amp still goes into protect mode. Send the amp in, they send it back with no communication. Same problem. They send me a new amp, same problem. I hooked it up in my other vehicle that's running a Kicker amp for years and the skar goes into protect mode. I ask for a refund on my NEW amp they just sent me and Skar says "sorry, you're out of the 30 day return window". I just got the new amp 2 days ago! Amazon to the rescue! I tell them what's happened and they allowed me to return the amp. ... show more
