When it arrived I thought it felt a little less dense than some other products I’ve seen. It works great though! Noticeable sound dampening. I also used it to line the inside of my aftermarket air box on my duramax truck and actually lowered my intake temps a couple degrees. Also used it to insulate my A/C accumulator on the same truck and noticed my A/C got a little cooler. The adhesive works great just make sure you wipe clean with alcohol/acetone/etc. the area where it will be installed ... show more

Owning and driving a motorhome that is a COE and runs on unleaded, one knows that there can be some unwanted noise coming from your V-10 plus in and around the engine bay and shroud area. It can be substantially louder while using the overdrive and I needed to do something. Research had lead me to and thus purchasing the Siless 157ml Aluminum Foil finshed sound deadening and heat insulation foam. It was what I was looking for and it really works! Light, easy to cut/trim to desired shape, easy peel and stick without surface preparation (I did though). However, even being forgiving while applying, as with any type of sticky surface, greasy finger prints or foreign oil can affect adhesion. Had to trim a corner off due to my carelessness. So... after cutting and placing the heat/ deadening foam everywhere I could reach be the engine bay, schroud and floor; I can attest that this product does as advertised and more! No joke... it REALLY works and we (wife and I) have been so much happier with its addition. Highly recommended for a more quiet and pleasant experience. ... show more

Crazy sticky and easy to mold to curves/edges. This isn't that dense heavy weight rubberized mat, this is foam backed with that heat reflective material. Seems to work as intended, but I wouldn't say it dampens sound. This roll is massive and will cover a bunch of surface area. Cuts easy.

Great product! I doubled this up with Siless Sound Dampening material as well. I did a double layer of this insulation on the ceiling (same as in your home, more insulation up top) and single throughout the rest of the car, in my effort to turn my CUV into an interior camper for winter snow storm chasing! Looks great, easy to install, and I got to support the Ukraine! (I was leaning towards Kilmat products but they are made in the Russian Federation... with everything going on right now, it was a no brainer) Only downsides is (1) that you need to be really careful while handling it, because the stickiness WILL stick, (to your fingers) and if you handle it too much, you will pull some of that off. As long as you are careful there, you will be ok. (I personally cut the pieces to size/ smaller the better for tight spaces/ putting up behind other lines/hoses in the car... and then for the 2nd layer, I made sure I overlapped the seams so that there was no gap where the heat would escape through). Second Downside (2) is that I need a little bit more, but not a whole roll more worth... 50 sq ft would be better for what I needed it for, but whatever - I am being nitpicky at this point.
