This mattress is incredible. It's not too firm, but not too soft. I feel like Goldilocks! Haha But really, it is a very comfortable mattress. It comes vaccum sealed and rolled up on plastic. Once you cut the outer wrapping, which is comparable to saran wrap, it rolls open. Then you cut open the plastic bag and viola'!, your mattress instantly starts to spring to life. The media could not be loaded. This is a more traditional mattress compared to the memory foam style ones I've been trying. Memory foam is great, it hugs you and makes you feel like you're on a cloud, but sometimes they're a little bit much for some people. If you want something a little more bouncy, less like you're sinking in, then you want a traditional coil mattress like this one. A couple of things to note- this shipped in a very similar way to my memory foam ones, rolled up in a box. However unlike the foam, this inflates INSTANTLY thanks to the spring coils under pressure. So don't be surprised when cutting it open if it jumps at you when you're expecting a slow rise like the foam ones. The other thing is that I'm pleasantly surprised by the lack of new-mattress-odor on this. Usually it needs to air out for a couple of days due to the way the packed materials need to off-gas from the manufacturing. But not this one! Seemed to be almost entirely gone the same day I opened it, and completely gone the next day. I usually open new mattresses on the floor in our guest room and then move them to the bed a few days later when they don't smell anymore (which is why this is on the floor here in my video). But I didn't really need to! It could have opened it on the bed and slept on it that night. ... show more

Signature Sleep Contour Comfort 12-Inch Tight-Top Mattress, Medium-Firm, Independently Encased Coils, Bed-in-a-Box, Twin This mattress is wonderful for my family member! It's a bit too firm for me, but just right for whom it was meant for. He loves it, and sleeps well on it. It's just as comfortable as a medium firm foam mattress that I have in the house, but the springiness is better in my opinion. It's nice and thick, and very cozy. I really like how the coils are individually encased, and how the mattress can be flipped over to extend it's life. Since it's so thick, the fluffy topper and waterproof cover that I had for it didn't quite reach the edges of the top surface, but they covered enough for me to not worry, and they both stay firmly on the bed. It expanded fully within 24 hours, and had no smell. It fits just right on the frame for it, and seems to be of very high quality. We got this for our son as he def needed to transition from his toddler bed since he was outgrowing it in height. I will say this bed has some weight to it but even being 5ft 4, 274 lbs I was able to drag it to where I needed to as needed. This does come completely sealed and fluffs up almost immediately once opened. I think we let it sit for a few hours before placing his mattress protector on it and then from there his sheets and comforter and pilow. He def loves it when it comes to jumping on that's for sure that was the first thing he tested out on it but even then he def doesn't have a problem sleeping on it either and the fact that he has room now is a plus I think we almost have gotten a full night with him in it once since having it. I even fell asleep on it once trying to get him to sleep and I have back problems and thou this is a firm matress alot firmer then our pillowtop this was not uncomfortable by any means I had a nice little nap on it lol. This fits full sheets great and I can't say anything bad about this at all. Appearance: This is a nice mattress that is very similar to classic mattresses. There are coils that are coil pockets and foam, I think I would refer to this as a hybrid. For me, it's firm, but just about right. Assembly: This is a bed-in-a-box mattress. You have to carefully open the manufacturer's packaging and be ultra-careful when you cut off the plastic. You could easily cut into the mattress if you are not careful. It's best to cut in an area without any mattress to let the first surge of air enter the plastic. After that, the mattress will start to plump. Took about a day and a half for me to see this was fully plump, but it was slept on that night and there were no problems. We absolutely love this Signature Sleep Contour Comfort 12-Inch Tight-Top Mattress! The top foam padding contours nicely to the body to relax muscles, while the springs keep it from sinking and isolate motion. I’d say medium-firm is an accurate description. It is just right. I compared it side-by-side with a brand new ZINUS 10 Inch Green Tea Cooling Swirl Memory Foam Hybrid Mattress. The Signature Sleep mattress feels better. Both are about equally firm, but the top layer of the ZINUS doesn’t contour as precisely as this one does. The Signature Sleep mattress feels more dreamy like floating in air. It’s also nice this is Made in Italy. Originally I was thinking to use this as a cheap temporary bed and get a more expensive one in the future. However now that I see how great this feels, I’m keeping this Signature Sleep mattress long term. Highly recommended! ... show more
