  • Easy to useFast and easy to install this octagon siding mounting kit. Run wires through center punch hole. Safer to have your wires in a box. There is a weep hole on the bottom that needs to be left open to allow any water that does deep in behind the block to escape.
  • Size DetailsSize 4 Inch Diameter X 6.61 Inch Width X 0.5 Inch Depth X 6.61 Inch Height. For 1/2" lap siding. Please check the size data in the picture. If you find that your vinyl siding is not suitable, it doesn't matter. You can placed some caulking and then painted the blocks and molding. You will need to caulk around the top of the box to prevent water from infiltrating the electrical box.
  • Applicable TypesSiding mounting block allows mounting light fixtures on all siding types including T-111, HardiePlank lap siding, and flat surfaces. The built-in electrical box design makes it very easy to install.

The media could not be loaded. I needed to mount a security light on my garage and have used these in the past. I was able to buy them at my local Menards in the past but they no longer carry them so I turned to Amazon. The quality is exactly the same as the ones I've purchased from local store in the past, might even been the same brand. They install effortlessly and look great on vinyl siding. This product was clutch as I previously had an old piece of wood and metal electrical box. The description mentioned that this mounting block is thick and solid ABS plastic, and I agree that the quality is good. I feel comfortable it will hold up for a long time. I've had similar items in the past, and they've all be made from a matte finish, 'softer' plastic. This is very shiny and very hard plastic. I hop it holds up to our cold winters and hot summers!

I purchased these to add to the base of my new light fixtures. My electrician is a friend of my husband's. The blocks did not fit snugly to the aluminum siding on my house. They had to take the blocks back to my husband's workshop & grind them down to fit. I fear someone installing withoug the means to alter the blocks to fit will have a difficult time of it. ... show more
