Fits with the lapstrake of the siding so that the fixtures will hold true. I cut out a hole to allow room for wiring and mounted a light bracket that give a sense of scale. Measure carefully so that your fixture fits. Sturdy construction and a clean white color.

I have another plate similar to this that easily screws onto a standard electrical box. This one is just blank, so you'll need to figure out how to make it work. On the bright side, it could work better if you remove you old light and find some peculiar situation where you need to customize a solution. The plastic quality is nice for what it is. As with my other mounting block, it is on the small side for some light bases, which can go beyond the edges. While I wouldn't buy this over the type with standard screw points and electrical knockouts, it may be just right for your situation. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This helps clean up and make it look nicer when you’re hanging outdoor lights or something in the exterior of your house. the idea is that wiring can pass through and not covers the hole in the siding nicely and makes it look more finished and polished Looks nice overall and seems sturdy. This is now my fourth one that I've purchased and I have finally found one that works. The others, when they arrived, just felt cheap. The first one broke as soon as I put my front light on it, like the inside just crumbled because it was so brittle. The second and third only lasted 2-3 weeks before both of them started cracking down the middle. With this one, I installed it last month and it's still going strong. The mount itself feels way more solid and sturdier than the other ones I purchased. I even dropped this when I was trying to measure where I wanted it and nothing happened to it, except for it got a little dirty.
