Handy Helper for Siding Projects - Time-Saver with Some Quirks
Size: 5/16-Inch Thickness
Style: Polycarbonate Body
The media could not be loaded. This siding tool has been a real game-changer for my home renovation project. It's like having an extra set of hands, holding the cement boards steady while I nail them in place. The adjustable spacing feature is pretty nifty - I've been able to get consistent gaps betw
een boards without constantly measuring. It's sturdy enough to hold a full 12-foot board, which is impressive for a plastic tool. The rubber grip is a nice touch, hasn't left any marks on my pre-painted siding. Installation is pretty straightforward once you get the hang of it - took me a few tries to get the rhythm down, but now it's smooth sailing. It's definitely made the job quicker, and I've been able to work solo instead of calling in favors from friends. Now for the downsides - it can be a bit fiddly to adjust the spacing, especially with gloves on. The clamp is strong, but I've had it slip a couple times on particularly warped boards. And while it's great for straight runs, it's not much help around windows or corners. The plastic feels durable, but I'm a bit worried about how it'll hold up to long-term UV exposure if I store it outside. If you're tackling a siding project on your own and don't mind a bit of a learning curve, this tool could save you a lot of time and frustration. Just don't expect it to solve all your siding woes - you'll still need some DIY skills to get the job done right.

They worked well and saved time
Size: 5/16-Inch Thickness
Style: Polycarbonate Body
The top pulls away from the board if it is locked tightly. It will not slide down if the top board is laid on it, so take your time an adjust the lock, it will work well.

Wrong side ordered, 3/8" too small for beveled cedar siding
Size: 3/8-Inch Thickness
Style: Polycarbonate Body
Found right out of the package these were not going to work for me. Thought they were adjustable, but for the side of boards used, they are not. Really nice looking product and built well, however, I think they are more for cement or hardi-plank siding. Returned without issue.

Using for Hardiplank. Work much better than the ones that clip to the top of the siding as they are far easier to remove after nailing. Easy adjustment for width needed.

These adjustable siding keepers work amazing. Minimal pressure needed to lock in place and once you set it, it will hold without any problems. Best value for your money. Easy to use.

DOES NOT WORK AS ADVERTISED
Size: 5/16-Inch Thickness
Style: Polycarbonate Body
ONLY WHEN TEH ATTACHMENT BAR IS SLIGHTLY TENSIONED DOES THE DEVICE SIT FLUSH AGAINST THE SIDING. THE SLIGHT TENSION DOES NOT HOLD THE SIDING BOARD IN PLACE. WHEN YOU ADD TENSION TO THE ATTACHMENT BAR THE DEVICE PUSHES AWAY FROM THE SIDING AND DOES NOT CATCH THE BOTTOM EDGE OF THE NEW SIDING BOARD. HA
D TO USE A WEDGE TO PUSH THE BOTTOM OF THE DEVICE OUT SO THE TOP WAS MORE FLUSH WITH THE SIDING BOARD THE DEVICE IS ATTACHED TO. ENDED UP SETTING TWO SCREWS TO THE INPLACE SIDING AT THE DESIGNATED BOTTOM OF THE SIDING TO BE ADDED TO HOLD THE NEW SIDING PIECE. OTHER BRANDS MAY WORK, BUT NOT THIS ONE.

Life Saver for Hardie Siding
Size: 5/16-Inch Thickness
Style: Polycarbonate Body
This worked excellent to install 5/16 Hardie board siding. I was able to install siding fast and easy on my garage by myself with no other helpers. The 1/4in increments was very easy to change and useful to "sneak" changes to make the siding line up front to side.

Replaced some damaged siding by myself. I would never do siding without these. It’s key to perfect placement and holds it for you while securing the siding. Just realize there are different ones for different thicknesses of siding.
