I purchased this a couple of months ago to use as a second monitor at my house alongside a large Macbook Pro and is sometimes used with other laptops as well. The screen is extremely easy to move about the house, has fantastic picture quality, and is more than worth the cost! The downsides to the screen are that it uses a fair amount of power so my laptop battery doesn't last as long, and I wish the buttons to adjust the brightness were a little bit easier to use (just a bit hard to press and have to press several buttons to get there). This is a high quality screen and is worth the premium price. The picture is excellent and the resolution makes it entirely suited for serious all day work on spreadsheets and documents. The only downside is when used solely on laptop power it will run through your battery quickly, making it better suited for situations where you can have your laptop plugged in. ... show more

    • Works well as a portable monitor. Resolution is good, died after 1 year of usage.
The first Sidetrak I got developed intermittent problems with ghosting, power, and fading of the image. I contacted Sidetrak customer support, and they arranged for a replacement. Replacement was shipped while defective monitor in transit. No issues with the replacement monitor. Packaging was very good. A selection cables is included, and the written documentation is well put together. Build quality is good. The protective case is also used as a kickstand. The kickstand is adequate, but it would be nice to be able to use with a rotated image. This is a bit more expensive than similar size and resolution options on Amazon, but I have no regrets with this purchase. My one interaction with customer service was excellent. UPDATE 2022 - After using this for a little over a year, this display no longer works. It powers up and is recognized by my Mac, but the screen remains black. A week ago, pixels on the bottom strip of the display lost some their color. It worked well while it lasted, but this is the second failure since owning the SideTrak. ... show more

This is a great portable monitor. I travel between locations in different states and spend several weeks at a time. I use to pack my second monitor and lug it along with everything else. This has made a HUGE difference. I like the fact that the additional monitor is level with my laptop. No more looking above my laptop--just a look to the side.     • HOw did I ever live without this?
So happy to have extra monitors for my laptop, How in the world did I do without it for so long. A little pricey, but worth it if you travel andwork on a laptop. Stand cound be better, but screen is awesome.

I got this monitor to use as a 2nd monitor for online school. I wished the display buttons were in a different spot so I could stand it up on its side, for portrait mode. The screen doesn't seem it's as good as it should be for the price though.
