This product is expensive, and it isn’t perfect, but overall it is very well made and extremely functional. I just worked on two spreadsheets at the same time in my car while my daughter was at riding lessons. This monitor has been a huge quality of life improvement. It allows me to work in remote locations without sacrificing too much productivity. It does have occasional connection drops but the screen pops back on and the drops are very rare. Great in concept, terrible execution. Was excited about this product because using a second screen is really helpful for my work and I was on the road for a while. 2 major flaws: 1. The connector cuts out randomly interrupting what you're doing and making the screen go black and pausing your work. Happens so frequently that having the second screen didn't help me work any more efficiently. 2. The screen isn't stable and ends up crooked, which seems minor but is annoying if the point is to use a second screen to make viewing your work easier. Bought 2 and really wish I could return them, but unfortunately, it's now past the return date :(. Feels like such a waste of money ugh. For anyone wanting a second screen, I'd probably recommend a stand-alone screen that connects via Bluetooth. You could probably even DIY rig it up to attach to the back of your laptop in a way that's sturdier than this contraption. Even a full on tablet that you can connect to remotely would be cheaper than this option and way more functional. ... show more

I was hesitant to buy this actually. I normally read the bad reviews first to see the potential issues. There were complaints about the magnet wouldn’t stay in place. So I was pretty hesitant. Before I bought this, I bought an 98$ dual monitor just like this in Cottageder website, it came up from facebook ads, I thought it was valid, so my order never arrived. Im pretty pissed of why Facebook would allow fraudulant ads in there. anyway, so i bought this our of desperation. I had very low expectation obviously. But shipment came just after a day (i have to mention it since amazon have pretty great shipment. When I opened it, it was very easy to setup. You have to follow the instruction how to attach it to the back of your computer, there is a reason why you had to stick magnets from your computers back and stick it to the sticky magnet of the monitor, this makes the adhesive work better, with magnets on both sides, it makes it very stable and not wobbly at all like what others complained. Resolution of the monitor is so good, even better than my laptop. Only negative is, the mouse movement is intermittently slow, which means rendering is felt, its not seamless. not sure if its bec of my specs? but I have 8cpu, and pretty reasonable space, so not sure. but overall, it is an excellent purchase. super happy with it. i will recommend this product. putting 5 star rating. ... show more

They called back and it was a security issue. It is now working very well. The only reason for 4 star is the issue was not easily found on their site. As many times as I was there I never saw that fix. This is my second one and the first installed easily onto my dell laptop that is why I purchased this one for my Macbook Pro using Catalina 10.15.1 Installed and uninstalled four times and it still doesn’t work. It says the name (Photo 1)and you are to wait 2.5 minutes. After 8 hours it is still blank (photo 2). I have gone to every YouTube or their site troubleshooting to no avail. So I called their customer support during business hours and had to leave a message that they would call back between now and one day. Well I’m trying to use while traveling so it is very frustrating. They should have better tech support for the price. I will gladly write another review if they call me back. I own my business and if I had a message like that for my customers I wouldn’t have been in business for 28 years. ... show more

I bought this in mind for working on the go. If this is what you want it for, I suggest you do not purchase it. If you want to work from a desk at a hotel, or some other office/location but on a desk, table or a flat surface then go for it! It is not very sturdy. Like at all. I tried using it on the road from my lap desk, but it kept flickering. (as the passenger obviously) I would have to disconnect and reconnect. If it was a bumpy road, it would fall off. One of those times, it bent the cable piece that attaches to the monitor so I have already had to replace it. I tried using it from my lap on my couch (or any couch) and anytime I go to set it down (off my lap) the screen will fall off. Haha I just moved my legs and it fell off as I tried to type this review! Didn't even try to set it down. Which brings me to my next point, sometimes when it disconnects from falling off or what have you, it takes several tries of unplugging, plugging back in, and jiggling the cord to get the screen to come back on. However, when I use it from a desk, where it does not get moved at all - it works just fine. If I could figure out a way to make this sturdier, I would absolutely recommend this 100%. I have done some research on how to rig it, but haven't been able to find a non permanent solution. I don't always work away from my home office and don't want it to be permanently attached to my laptop. I hope this review helps! *********************************************************************************** I experienced some trouble with the monitor powering on, but no screen displaying. I reached out to the seller and they sent me a shipping label to return it and upon receipt they sent me a free replacement! That is what I call excellent customer service.
